1. Qui-Gon Jinn

The first few episodes follow Count Dooku, with the first episode in particular dealing with Dooku as he trains a young Qui-Gon Jinn. Young Qui-Gon is actually voiced by Liam Neeson’s son, Micheál Richardson, a nice touch by the people over at LucasFilm.

2. Count Dooku

Through the show, we learn that Count Dooku was still with the Jedi order when Jinn passed away on Nabo. We also learn that Dooku has been talking to Palpatine already up to that point. The first few episodes also highlight why Dooku makes the decisions he makes when viewers see him again in the prequel trilogy. Fans get a better understanding of the character overall.

3. Ahsoka Tano

The training sequence fans get to see in episode five, when Ahsoka learns the moves that eventually save her during Order 66, was amazing to see. The show highlighted how good Anakin was as a mentor, even if he was tough on Ahsoka sometimes. Also, seeing Ahsoka at Padme’s funeral was a good move to connect the Clone Wars series to the movies.

4. Yaddle

Bryce Dallas Howard does an excellent job playing Yaddle in the series. The Jedi Master is the same species as Yoda and is seen in The Phantom Menace but not again during the prequel trilogy. This series does a great job explaining what happens to her and also makes everyone wonder why Yoda talks weirdly.

5. Mace Windu

The last character with some extra depth added to his story from the series has to be Mace Windu. Star Wars fans see Windu and Dooku interact once during the movies, but it always seemed like the two previously knew each other. The series answers that question with the two going on a mission together when they are young Jedi knights.

We get to see a younger Mace Windu who, as usual, is to the book on things and on the path to becoming a Jedi master.

Tales of the Jedi includes six short animated shows on Disney+ and is definitely worth the watch if you have not checked it out yet! There are also tons of other shows and movies new to Disney+ worth watching.
