The Eternal Daughter starring Tilda Swinton release date and more

A new production spearheaded by British filmmaker Joanna Hogg is coming to the U.S. in December! The director and screenwriter took on those duties, as well as a producing role in The Eternal Daughter.

The A24 film was also produced by Ed Guiney, Emma Norton, and Andrew Lowe. Other team members behind the scenes include Ed Rutherford as cinematographer, Grace Snell as costume designer, Helle Le Fevre as editor, and Stéphane Collonge as production designer.

The Eternal Daughter release date

The mystery drama film premiered at the 79th Venice International Film Festival on Sept. 6, 2022. The movie will make its debut in the United States on Friday, Dec. 2. It’s not known yet whether it will be available to watch on a streaming service.

The Eternal Daughter synopsis

The story is about the relationship and bond between a mother and daughter. Here is the official synopsis from A24:

"An artist and her elderly mother confront long-buried secrets when they return to a former family home, now a hotel haunted by its mysterious past. Featuring a towering, deeply moving performance by Tilda Swinton, acclaimed filmmaker Joanna Hogg’s beguiling latest film is a brilliant and captivating exploration of parental relationships and the things we leave behind."

Talented British actress Tilda Swinton takes on a dual role in the production! She plays both the mother, Rosalind, and daughter, Julie, in the film. The project had a small cast. Here are the actors who appear in the movie:
