On today’s episode of The Bold and the Beautiful, Hope and Thomas celebrated the success of the preview along with Douglas, Ridge, Eric, Zende, and Donna at Forrester Mansion. Just like at the fashion show, heaps of praise were piled on the pair as they sipped champagne and toasted their triumph.

Meanwhile, Liam was home stewing with Brooke and Bill both urging him to step in where Thope is concerned. His worry over his wife’s decision making is worsening, and I can’t entirely blame him for that since Hope is getting too close to Thomas. Don’t get me wrong, as a Thope fan, I’m here for it, but it’s not easy watching Liam fret.

And I wonder, if I’m feeling bad for him, then how is Steffy going to feel once she starts catching wind that there’s trouble in paradise? She’s on Cloud 9 with Finn but that doesn’t mean she won’t intervene when it comes to her best friend and her brother fighting over Hope. Steffy already warned Thomas to watch himself so that he doesn’t slip into any obsessive behavior.

But, if it’s starting to become clear he’s not the only one becoming too attached, there’s no telling where she might land on the issue. Ridge may be fore a union between Thomas and Hope, but will the rest of the Forresters be if that ever becomes a possibility? Only time will tell, but I can say Liam does have a right to feel a way about Thope’s growing bond and he better prepare himself because Hope may just be the one to break his heart.

Here’s what happened on today’s episode.

The Bold and the Beautiful recap (Nov. 4)

Champagne flowed at Forrester Mansion as multiple rounds of toasts were made in honor of Thomas and Hope. Referred to as a dream team by both Eric and Zende, they smiled, laughed, and graciously accepted the words of praise given to them by their family. Douglas joined in, stating that he’s so proud of his parents and how they looked like rock stars up on stage.

Even Donna had something positive to say despite her feelings on Thomas. She spoke of his talent and his incredible designs. And, though he’s prone to passing praise onto Hope as his inspiration, Eric told Thomas to take the compliment. There’s no doubt that Hope is his muse, he says it any chance he gets but that’s still his talent on display on the runway paired with her vision for a better tomorrow.

Ridge was moved and proud as a father to see Thomas flourishing. He thanked Hope for not giving up on his son and paid tribute to the pair not just as work partners but also as co-parents. Personally, I think he’s shipping them a bit, too, but that’s nothing new. If there’s anyone who’d be in their corner if they ever got together, it would be Ridge. He knows how much his son loves Hope and has for years. Ridge has also noticed that Thope share a connection that she’s never acknowledged to anyone but that is apparent if you pay attention.

Liam, however, is just beginning to realize this. Nearly sick over the idea of Hope celebrating with Thomas, he spent the episode checking his phone waiting for her to text or call. He’d gotten Beth laid down for the night even though it took longer than usual because she wanted her mom and then he vented to his father.

Brooke later joined them at the cabin and held Liam accountable for not coming to her daughter’s preview. She, however, was shocked to learn that Hope had allowed Thomas to “embrace” her. Once again, it was an interesting choice of words for this friendly hug.

Last episode, Liam said that Thomas had held Hope which suggested an intimacy that didn’t seem to be there. But it was enough to leave him shaken and angry over the fact that it had happened at all. Both Bill and Brooke urged Liam to go to Forrester Mansion to see Hope, but he declined because he didn’t want to walk in on yet another shared moment between the two.

He also feared that if he were to catch them together like he did before, he’d do something that he regrets and ruin Hope’s big day. Liam seems to have missed the part where he already disappointed Hope, but he might have realized that when he called her and she was as stale as can be on the phone.

Liam wanted to know when she’d be home, and she answered that she planned to celebrate some more and then tuck Douglas into bed before heading out. That rankled her husband because her use of ‘we’ referred to her and Thomas. Liam did try to say that when she gets to the cabin they can do a little celebrating of their own, but Hope cut him off and promptly ended the call by reiterating that she’d be home later and giving a stilted I love you in reply to Liam’s.

“Casually” scrolling through his phone while that exchange happened, Thomas listened to the entire conversation and had a good idea of why Liam called, but it didn’t stop him from asking Hope to stay a little longer. She didn’t answer his request, but her smile and another sip of her champagne signaled that she probably won’t be heading back to Liam’s side any time soon.

Bill and Brooke left Liam down at the cabin with Beth which was used as an opportunity for the Spencer patriarch to again pour his heart out to a woman who doesn’t want him or love him. At this point, I’m getting secondhand embarrassment and wondering when Li is coming back so Bill can have an actual shot at love with a woman who isn’t desperately in love with someone else.

Elsewhere, in Malibu, Steffy, Finn, and Kelly had a sweet family moment. Steffy described the fashion show to her daughter and promised to show her all of her uncle’s designs and that she could attend the next one that Forrester Creations holds.

After sending the little girl off to bed, Steffy and Finn discussed Thope and how they work well together. Finn wasn’t at the preview because he was working, but he could tell it must have been a success. Steffy confirmed this, but she also brought up Liam’s absence. It was strange to her even though she did reach the conclusion that it must have been because of his feelings on Thomas.

Noticing that the house was quiet and the kids were asleep, Steffy put her thoughts on what’s going on with her brother, Hope, and Liam to the side to romance her husband. But she’ll likely circle back to these thoughts next week considering it’s something that keeps occupying her mind. I’m manifesting a scene between Steam, it’s been far too long since these two interacted.

Until next time, Bold fans. Stay beautiful!
