As Game 5 of the World Series took over in the live TV ratings, most shows saw a drop. That was all except for Walker Independence.

Just like the previous few nights, the World Series won in terms of live TV ratings. That’s never that much of a surprise, though, is it? Despite knowing baseball wins, all other shows aired new episodes of their shows.

We got a full night, but it wasn’t good in terms of live ratings. Only Walker Independence saw a tick up. EVerything else was down, and some by larger percentages than others.

Walker Independence up in the live TV ratings

CBS had a night of comedies, starting with Young Sheldon and Ghosts. Both shows were down, but they continue to pull in the best audiences and demos of the night out of all scripted shows. I’m sure we’ll see both shows renewed for new seasons.

So Help Me Todd isn’t performing as well, but it is doing well enough for the network. It’s scored a full-season order, so we’re hopeful that it will be renewed despite the 9% drop in the demo and 15% drop in the total audience.

Things ended on CBS with CSI: Vegas, which was down another 7% in the demo and 13% in the total audience. This is the show we’re most concerned about. Unless it’s performing well on Paramount+, we don’t see this getting renewed.

ABC had TGIT, but all shows were down. Station 19 was down a concerning 24% in the demo and 9.5% in the total audience. Grey’s Anatomy was also down 13% in the demo and 10% in the audience. We’re not all that concerned with the two shows, though. As long as the ratings hold steady, we’re sure to see renewals. ABC will want to see how Grey’s performs without Ellen Pompeo around.

The end of the night as Alaska Daily drop 23% in the demo and 9% in the total audience. It’s not clear if this is supposed to be a limited series. The world needs more shows like this to bring up some very real issues in the world that people don’t like talking about.

NBC had a full night of Law & order dramas. All three were down with the revival series down the most. However, I’m not too concerned about them considering the loyal fanbase they do all have. They remain some of the most popular shows on the network.

Finally, it was all about The CW. This is the network I’m most concerned about. Walker Season 3 was down 42% in the demo and 3% in the audience, but Walker Independence was up 150% in the demo and 6% in the audience. The problem with the shows is the changes that Nexstar is bringing in for The CW, so it’s really hard to say if they’ll be renewed or not.
