The One Chicago shows returned with new episodes but saw downward ticks in the live TV ratings. Here’s a look at the Nov. 2 episodes.

FOX won the night when it came to live TV ratings on Wednesday, Nov. 2. That isn’t surprising considering it did air Game 4 in the World Series. We tend to see the baseball games win the night each year.

That had a knock-on effect on the live ratings for the other shows. It meant a lot of shows saw downward ticks in the ratings. How did everything fare on Wednesday night?

One Chicagos down, Kung Fu mixed in the live TV ratings

We usually see the One Chicago shows win the night. When it comes to scripted content, the three shows did still win. This was despite the downward ticks.

Chicago Med dropped 21% in the demo and 7% in the total audience. Chicago Fire was down 6% in the demo and 8% in the total audience. Chicago PD dropped 16% in the demo and 10% in the total audience. I don’t think this is anything to worry about, though. The three shows are still the most popular shows on NBC.

ABC had a night of comedy, and the four shows saw mixed results. The Conners and Abbott Elementary were both down in both metrics. The Goldbergs was up and steady, and Home Economics was mixed. As a one-off, there’s nothing to worry about. However, we’ll need to see the numbers jump up next week.

Big Sky is the ABC show we’re most concerned about. It dropped another 3% in the demo and 15% in the audience. This show could be performing much better on Hulu, but at the moment, it’s one of the weakest shows in the live TV ratings on ABC. It could come to an end, especially with talk of dropping the 10 p.m. timeslot.

The CW saw mixed results with its shows. We now know Stargirl is coming to an end after Season 3, so the live ratings aren’t going to affect it. We’re looking at Kung Fu, though. The demo was up 66% but the audience was down almost 10%. The CW is looking to make some big changes, so we are concerned. Some shows will need to stick around, and we hope this one is one of them.
