After the horrors of Halloween Week (which saw EastEnders star James Bye and Amy Dowden eliminated from the competition after a tense dance-off with Fleur East and Vito Coppola), the 10 remaining contestants on BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing took to dancefloor to offer up their best Latin and Ballroom routines for yet another week.

With the halfway point of the competition now upon us, you could feel the pressure in the air. But what went down in Elstree on the Strictly dancefloor this week?

Here are the Strictly spoilers, results, and scores from the Week 7 Saturday night show of Strictly Come Dancing.

Strictly spoilers and results: Week 7 Leaderboard

On a night that refreshingly relied only on Ballroom, Latin and Argentine Tangos, Week 7 was a greater improvement over the past two themed weeks.

Hamza Yassin delivered a great Cha Cha Cha that saw him top the Leaderboard with 38, but the real star of the show was Kym Marsh, who delivered a stunning Argentine Tango that saw her receive her highest score yet (37), her first 10, and placed her second on the Leaderboard. Equally as impressive was Helen Skelton with a world class Jive. Ellie Simmonds also received her highest score with a sensational Charleston, while Mollie and Fleur made our hearts sing with beautiful Ballroom routines.

Here are the results from the Strictly Week 7 Saturday night show, the scores, and the Leaderboard we were left with:

  • Hamza and Jowita danced the Cha Cha Cha – 8, 10, 10, 10 = 38
  • Kym and Graziano danced the Argentine Tango – 9, 9, 9, 10 = 37
  • Helen and Gorka danced the Jive – 9, 9, 9, 10 = 37
  • Molly and Carlos danced the Foxtrot – 8, 9, 9, 9 = 35
  • Fleur and Vito danced the Waltz – 9, 9, 8, 9 = 35
  • Ellie S and Nikita danced the Charleston – 7, 9, 8, 9 = 33
  • Will and Nancy danced the Quickstep – 8, 8, 8, 9 = 33
  • Tyler and Dianne danced the Viennese Waltz – 7, 7, 7, 8 = 29
  • Ellie T and Johannes danced the Rumba – 3, 7, 5, 7 = 22
  • Tony and Katya danced the Salsa – 4, 6, 5, 6 = 21

Who is in danger on Strictly Week 7?

Normally, I would lead by saying something like the person at the bottom of the Leaderboard is the one in most danger but that hasn’t really been the case this series. That has been somewhat due to the fact that Tony Adams has found himself near the bottom on more than one occasion and yet he’s clearly popular with the Great British Public.

Moreover, this series has seen a trend of contestants in the middle of the Leaderboard end up in the Dance-Off quite early on – something that normally doesn’t happen until around midway through the competition. Since we’re at the halfway point, will it continue or is a change coming?

It’s also worth bearing in mind that Week 7 has seen some shock Dance-Offs over the years (remember Mollie and AJ vs. Aston and Janette in 2017?), but is anything really a shock when this series has had a few surprises already?

Tony Adams is in jeopardy again but he clearly has support. Ellie Taylor might find herself in the Dance-Off but she too has proven to be popular with the public. Taking all of that into account, don’t be surprised if we got a shock Dance-Off between the likes of Tyler, Will, Molly or Fleur (though those ballroom ladies certainly don’t deserve to be there after their stunning performances!).

Update Sunday, November 6: On Sunday night, it was revealed that Ellie Simmonds and Nikita Kuzmin would have to face Molly Rainford and Carlos Gu in the Dance-Off. After what was undoubtedly the best Dance-Off of the series, the judges saved Molly and Carlos, sending Ellie and Nikita home. It was a tough decision given that neither couple should have been in the Dance-Off, but Ellie and Nikita’s emotional send-off had the audience in tears. They will be remembered as one of Strictly‘s most inspirational couples.

Celebrate Ellie and Nikita’s wonderful and inspiring Strictly journey with their highest-scoring performance, the Charleston.
