The upcoming series stars Emily Blunt, who also served as an executive producer on the project, and Chaske Spencer. Joining the two actors onscreen are Rafe Spall, Tom Hughes, Toby Jones, Ciarán Hinds, Stephen Rea, and Valerie Pachner.

Creator Hugo Blick takes on writing, directing, and executive duties. Colin Wratten served as a producer, with Greg Brenman as an executive producer. So how much time do you need to set aside to follow the series? We’ve got the answer for you below!

How many episodes are in The English on Prime Video?

The English is a miniseries with a total of six episodes. The show will premiere all six in the U.S. and globally on Nov. 11. Those in the U.K. will get the series a day earlier and will be able to watch it on BBC Two and BBC iPlayer.

The “epic chase Western” is set in 1890 America and follows aristocratic Englishwoman Lady Cornelia Locke (Blunt) and Pawnee ex-cavalry scout Eli Whipp (Spencer), Prime Video shares. The two will face both physical and psychological obstacles as they cross the violent landscape “built on dreams and blood.”

So why are they on this journey? Their goal is to reach the new town of Hoxem, Wyoming. Both have a clear sense of their destiny, but they don’t know it’s rooted in a shared past, according to Prime Video. When they get to the town and a series of unsolved murders occur, their intertwined history will be understood.
