We’re well into the Fall TV season and, while on the night ratings are important, next day streaming has become an essential piece of the puzzle for broadcast television.

Streaming numbers have the power to make or break new and old series alike. But, as a consumer, it can be difficult keeping up with which programs stream where and for how long.

When it comes to NBC shows a change ahead of the 2022-2023 season saw viewers realizing that Hulu is no longer the go-to streamer for their favorite shows on the network.

Peacock, NBCUniversal’s streamer, has taken over that title. The question, however, is if viewers can still tune into their favorite NBC shows using Hulu or not.

Here’s what we know!

Do all NBC shows stream on Peacock?

From the 2022-2023 television onward, new series and seasons of NBC shows stream exclusively on Peacock. This includes both scripted and unscripted programming. The only place to watch new NBC content next day is on that platform. When it comes to classic NBC programming, Peacock doesn’t have exclusive streaming rights…yet.

Collider reports that the following shows will also stream on Hulu for the next few years:

  • Law & Order: SVU
  • This Is Us
  • The Mindy Project
  • 30 Rock
  • Parenthood
  • Friday Night Lights
  • Will & Grace

Of the shows listed, Friday Night Lights is the only one available to stream on Netflix as well. Presumably, once the license’s on NBC’s older shows expire, they’ll only be available to stream on Peacock. You can check out the network’s hub on the streamer, here.

We’ll keep you posted on when these select programs will leave Hulu. If you’re not a Peacock subscriber, you won’t be able to stream the majority of NBC shows whether that’s classics you love or current favorites that release new episodes next day on the streamer.

A Premium Peacock plan costs is $4.99/month. Premium Plus, which allows subscribers to stream without ads and download titles to watch offline, is $9.99/month.
