Wednesday TV ratings: One Chicago mixed, Kung Fu down (November 9)

ABC won the night in the live TV ratings with the CMA Awards. How did the rest of the networks fare with new episodes of their top shows?

Most networks had new episodes of regular shows throughout the night. ABC put all shows on hold for the night to air the CMA Awards. It wasn’t surprising to hear that the awards show won the night in both the demo and total audience.

CBS had a night of unscripted shows to start with. With The Real Love Boat ending, the network now has reruns in the 10 p.m. ET/PT time slot. What about the rest of the shows?

One Chicago mixed, Kung Fu down in the live TV ratings

NBC had a full night of One Chicago drama. Out of the scripted shows, the three shows won the night. Chicago Fire was back at the top seeing just a 6% downward tick in the audience but a 3% upward tick in the demo. Chicago Med was down by 13% in the demo and 10% in the total audience. It was still good for the night, but the downward ticks are disappointing.

Chicago PD also saw some downward ticks, but not as big as Med. The demo was down by almost 2% in the demo and down 6.5% in the total audience.

The CW was the only other network with scripted shows. Stargirl is coming to an end, and it looks like fans are intrigued by how it’s going to turn out. The demo was up 100% in the demo and 6% in the audience.

We are worried about Kung Fu, especially knowing that The CW isn’t planning on renewing a lot by the sounds of recent reports. The series was down 100% in the demo and 10% in the total audience. Is this a sign the series will end with Season 3?
