Santa Clause is coming to town in the new series, The Santa Clauses! The show will release its first two episodes on Wednesday, Nov. 16. One new installment will then premiere weekly until the finale on Dec. 14 on Disney+.

The series may be new, but we’re more than familiar with the characters. This is the fourth installment in the The Santa Clause franchise! Its predecessors include three movies produced by Disney. Now, Scott Calvin is back as the big man in red, and we’re going to be introduced to his family with Carole, aka Mrs. Clause!

With the holiday’s popularity decreasing and after taking on the job for 30 years, Scott realizes he needs to retire and spend more time with his family. We’re going to see him search for the next person to take his place, but it may not be that easy. As the trailer reveals, the new Santa he chooses may not have been the best one fit for the role.

Most productions about Old St. Nick are appropriate for kids to watch by themselves. Well, let’s see why this particular series is rated TV-PG.

Why is The Santa Clauses rated TV-PG?

So what does this age rating mean? If a show is rated TV-PG, then it could have material that parents may find unsuitable for younger children. It’s advised that a parent is present while the kids are watching. These could have infrequent mature language, some suggestive dialogue, moderate violence, or some sexual content.

For The Santa Clauses, I doubt there’s going to be any mature language or sexual content. Though, the series may have received the TV-PG rating due to possible suggestive dialogue and moderate violence. Many times, shows and movies have mild mature jokes only adults will understand. And based on the trailer, there are a few “violent” moments like the woman throwing a bottle at Scott, elves physically fighting, and Carol kicking someone at the end of the video.

But keep in mind these are just predictions on our end since the series isn’t streaming yet. It does look like there isn’t a major reason why your kids can’t enjoy the series. Plus, it’s a Disney show streaming on the platform. Most of the content on there is appropriate for kids. But we recommend maybe having a parent present just to be safe.
