What is Disenchanted on Disney+ about?

Disenchanted picks up more than 10 years after Giselle (Adams) and Robert (Dempsey) have been married. While New York City was once captivating for the fairytale character, she’s become “disillusioned” with the city, according to Disney+. For a change, the growing family decides to move to Monroeville, a sleepy suburban community.

While they were hoping to find a more fairytale life there, it’s not the “quick fix” Giselle had been hoping for. There, she encounters the local queen bee, Malvina Monroe (Rudolph). This isn’t the happily ever after Giselle was hoping to find, and so she turns to the magic of Andalasia for help.

That causes more consequences as the entire town gets turned into a real-life fairy tale, put her family’s future happiness in jeopardy, Disney+ shares. She goes on a mission to try and reverse the spell, and may perhaps learn what happily ever after really means with her family.
