We didn’t get to see Taylor in her wedding dress today on The Bold and the Beautiful, but her big moment is just around the corner. That is, of course, if nothing spoils it. The CPS call still looms over Tridge’s pending wedding. The bride couldn’t take her mind off of the revelation even as she and Steffy got her ready to walk down the aisle.

Douglas was also preoccupied by the call, but that’s because he’s helping his father keep the lie up with his silence when he’d rather be telling the truth. Meanwhile, Ridge’s thoughts weren’t on Brooke’s supposed betrayal, they were on marrying Taylor despite being checked on one last time by Carter.

Speaking of Ridge’s best friend, he took on the task of retrieving Ridge’s cuff links from Logan Manor and unexpectedly overheard Bill proclaiming his love for Brooke. While we know this isn’t the first time the man has bared his heart to his ex-wife, it is the first time someone close to Ridge has been privy to his declarations.

The episode ended before Brooke responded. She’s been rebuffing Bill’s advances, but with Ridge about to pledge his life to Taylor’s, she could make a decision that’ll put the family at odds once more. Here’s the full recap of the events that unfolded on our soap!

What happened today on The Bold and the Beautiful?

At the start, we were presented with a giddy Taylor as she took in how the living room at Forrester Mansion had been transformed for her wedding. She’s waited a long time for this day to arrive and it finally has. Her excitement shone through the screen as did Steffy’s when Taylor caught her peeking at her gown.

The mother-daughter duo, who are a highlight of The Bold and the Beautiful, shared beautiful moments today as they got Taylor ready. Despite their joy, however, Taylor couldn’t seem to shake the thought of the CPS call. Steffy gave her a look when she said had she’d known that Ridge had come to Aspen because of that she probably would have kept running.

While Steffy has assured her mom that Ridge is marrying her because he loves her and not because of Brooke, and Taylor has said she knows, there’s understandably apprehension coming up. After all, Taylor has been here before. She’s been in reach of the life she wants with her best friend and seen it snatched from her grasp in seconds.

She is putting a lot of faith in Ridge. More faith than he deserves given his track record, but he has her trust nonetheless. So, in spite of her fears creeping up on her, Taylor is trying to maintain the happiness she feels and reveling in this special bonding time with her daughter.

Taylor’s wise to be thinking of the shoe dropping on her. Even if you don’t factor in Ridge’s split feelings, the truth about the CPS call has yet to be revealed to anyone but Douglas. So far her grandson hasn’t said anything, but that’s only because he’s torn between doing the right thing and listening to his father.

He loves his grandparents, and he wants to be happy for them. Douglas said as much, but carrying this lie for Thomas is weighing on him. He didn’t want to go to the wedding, but he put on his gorgeous suit to be a part of the big event. Looking like a dapper little prince, however, didn’t fix his downtrodden mood, and it’s beginning to weigh on Thomas as well.

Thomas has shown signs of guilt throughout this storyline, but it’s been more frequent now that he has to witness his son struggle with what he did. It’s unclear whether it’ll be enough to push him toward being honest, but Thomas sure looked like he was warring with himself after Ridge told him how proud he is of his progress and they hugged.

But, given what Carter overheard today, perhaps Thomas telling the truth won’t be enough for Brooke and Ridge to be put back on the path toward reuniting. At the top of the episode, Ridge had been getting ready for his wedding at Forrester Creations. He was almost finished and then he realized that he needed cuff links.

The pair he wants to wear, which were given to him by Taylor, were back at Logan Manor. Carter offered to get them for his friend and said he’d go in the back way so Brooke would never have to know he was on the property. Doing so, however, put him in ear shot of  Bill confessing his love to Brooke.

The CEO had arrived earlier to be Brooke’s shoulder to lean on though she didn’t ask him to do that and didn’t expect to see him. He said he knew how hard this day would be for her and he wanted to show his support. Bill also wasted no time telling Brooke that no one was going to stop Ridge from marrying Taylor, essentially dashing any hope the woman had for a last minute miracle.

During his speech, much to Carter’s annoyance, Bill even spoke on how he loves Katie but that he doesn’t love her the way he loves Brooke. He asserted that no one could love her like he can, not even Ridge. Brooke didn’t have a response before the episode ended, but I know we’re all eager to hear what it is.

If she momentarily gives in, it’ll be another strike against her in Ridge’s book regardless of what happened with the CPS call. As Thomas has been saying, that was only one betrayal in a list of reasons why Ridge left. The fact that Brooke has two men waiting in the wings is an issue between them, too. So is her tendency to fall into their arms when she’s upset or sad.

But, if Carter overhears Brooke talking about her undying love for Ridge, he could carry that back to his best friend at some point. It may not happen before the wedding, but it may be a crucial bit of information in the future.

In any case, most of the scenes in today’s episode furthered the plot. Except for the weird moment between Katie and Eric where she seemed to be shaming the man for deciding to attend his own son’s wedding even though he’s Team Bridge. No one should be as stressed about this as Brooke, her sisters need to dial it back.

Until next time, Bold fans. Stay beautiful!
