Who knew one girl could cause so much trouble? Wednesday, the aptly-named teen supernatural horror comedy series premiered Wed Nov. 23 on Netflix.

The show is produced by filmmaker Tim Burton, who also serves as director on a few episodes and stars Jenna Ortega as the titular character, Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia Addams, Luis Guzmán as Gomez Addams, Isaac Ordonez as Pugsley Adams, and Gwendoline Christie as Larissa Weems.

Burton is known for his gothic-style filmmaking and this show offers that aesthetic in all of its glory. The series takes us into Wednesday Addams’s world as she attends Nevermore Academy. Addams attempts to master her psychic ability, thwart a killing spree and look to the past to solve the mystery that her parents encountered almost 25 years ago.

Fun fact, the actress who played Wednesday in the 1991 film and 1993 sequel, Christina Ricci is also in the cast. She portrays Marilyn Thornhill, the Nevermore Academy dorm mom and botanical sciences teacher.
