LEGO Masters continues to impress fans with their bigger than life challenges. If you haven’t been watching, you’re missing out. Hidden Remote recently had a chat with LEGO Masters judges Amy Corbett and Jamie Berard to find out all about that incredible bull ride challenge, and more!

At the time of this writing, there are only three more episodes before the FOX competition series crowns a winner, giving a new team the title of LEGO Masters. Do you have a favorite team? We don’t know who to cheer for, honestly. We love everyone.

A new episode airs Tuesday, Dec. 7, and then we’ll get back-to-back episodes on Dec. 14, the penultimate episode and the big season 3 finale. Don’t miss it!

Please note this interview has been edited for length and clarity.

Interview with LEGO Masters judges Amy Corbett and Jamie Berard

Hidden Remote: I love chatting with you guys. You two are the coolest so thanks for taking the time to chat this morning! We have to talk about the bull ride challenge, it was amazing! I don’t think anyone has seen anything like it. Tell me how that all came together.

Amy and Jamie: We have an incredible challenge team that is constantly pitching these ideas for things that we never even thought were possible. With the bull ride challenge, we first had to see if it could actually be done. But we still didn’t fully know if anyone would make it all the way to round 10.

HR: I was watching, as if I’m the expert, these builds come together trying to guess how many rounds they’d make it, and I was wrong every time! What were you guys looking for? Did you also try to guess how long a build would last on the bull?

Amy and Jamie: Oh, definitely! But we’re not very good at guessing. We didn’t fully know what was going to do well, we had some good guesses, but not all were correct. We were quite surprised by a few of them.

HR: One challenge my family is waiting for is the race car one.

Amy and Jamie: That’s a really good one! It’s something we have also never done before. We’ve had some great guests that have come on the show, but Jeff Gordon is one of those people who’s like, “I want to get in the car I need to drive it.” And he also takes Will on a little bit of an adventure, as well. It’s a great episode to look forward to.

HR: Have any of the teams ever asked to keep their LEGO builds?

Amy and Jamie: In the dog build episode, we did have the owners of the dogs wanting to keep the builds of their pups. When a team wins or is super proud of their build, they do ask if they can keep it. But they actually get recycled and put back in the pack to be used again in other challenges.

HR: And since we are Hidden Remote, I have to ask you guys — what are you watching on TV or streaming?

Amy: I’m traveling at the moment, but I need to catch up on House of the Dragon.

Jamie: I’m kind of in between programs, so if you have any recommendations? We like to do builds together at home and we have a show in the background. So we prefer something that is not too deep or we have to follow closely.

Stay tuned for LEGO Masters season 3 episode 11, “Start Your Engines,” on Dec. 7, only on FOX.
