With December officially upon us, the countdown toward Christmas is underway! What better way to enjoy the season than watching Christmas movies on Disney+?
This month, Disney+ has a wide variety of Christmas movies to watch. Between animated classics, charming romantic comedies, and kid-friendly favorites, there’s a Christmas movie for everyone to watch!

1. The Santa Clause
What if an ordinary man could become Santa Claus? In The Santa Clause, Tim Allen stars as Scott Calvin, a workaholic who takes over for Santa after the man falls off a roof. After watching The Santa Clause, make sure to watch the sequels, The Santa Clause 2 and The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause, and the Disney+ series, The Santa Clauses.
2. Home Alone
In the running for the greatest Christmas film of all time, Home Alone is a fun adventure for the entire family. When the McCallisters forgets to bring their son, Kevin (Macaulay Culkin), on a European vacation, the eight-year-old is left to fend for himself, which he enjoys at first. However, when two burglars (Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern) plan to rob the McCallisters, it’s up to Kevin to defend his home!
3. The Nightmare Before Christmas
When animation is brought up around Christmas, The Nightmare Before Christmas must be in the discussion. When the King of Halloween Town, Jack Skellington (Chris Sarandon and Danny Elfman), encounters Christmas Town, the skeleton plans to kidnap Santa and take over this role. Directed by Henry Selick from a story by Tim Burton, The Nightmare Before Christmas is 76 minutes of good fun!
4. The Muppet Christmas Carol
It’s not Christmas without the Muppets. The lovable puppets put their stamp on a Charles Dickens staple in The Muppet Christmas Carol. When the grumpy Ebenezer Scrooge (Michael Caine) spends time with three ghosts on Christmas Eve, his world is turned upside-down. Learning about the true meaning of Christmas is always a great reminder around the holidays.
5. I’ll Be Home for Christmas
Jake Wilkinson, a teenager at a boarding school in California, is presented with the opportunity to own his father’s 1957 Porsche 356. All Jake needs to do is make it home to New York by 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve. When he’sunexpectedly dropped off in a desert with no money or way to contact anyone, Jake must do whatever it takes to get home and win his father’s car.
