The holidays are here which means broadcast television is set to send their primetime series on their winter breaks as programming switches to spirited specials for end of the year celebrations and ringing in the new year.

When the NCIS shows return, fans can anticipate a three-way crossover that’ll see agents from the flagship, LA, and Hawai’i series coming together for three action-packed episodes.

Originally, the crossover had been scheduled for Monday, Jan. 2, but its since been delayed. How long will viewers have to wait for the franchise to return on CBS? Here’s what we know!

When does NCIS return with new episodes in 2023?

The crossover kicks off on Monday, Jan. 9 at 8 p.m. ET. Season 20, episode 10, “Too Many Cooks,” will see NCIS agents from the DC, LA, and Hawai’i offices meeting up in the District of Columbia to celebrate their beloved Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) professor who’s retiring. However, instead of partying, the agents are thrown into a case when their professor is found dead. Refusing to believe he died by suicide, they open up an investigation.

When does NCIS: Hawai’i return with new episodes in 2023?

The Hawai’i series continues this action packed three-way crossover on Jan. 9 at 9 p.m. ET. In season 2, episode 10, “Deep Fake,” Tennant, Jimmy Palmer, and Sam Hanna are captured. Their captor is a woman who claims to be a CIA agent. She wants intel from the team. Meanwhile, Jesse, Ernie, Whistler, and Aiden Parker learn of an asset who’s a recent arrival to Hawai’i. The asset is said to be connected to several assassinations that took place overseas.

When does NCIS: Los Angeles return with new episodes in 2023?

TVLine reports that NCIS: Los Angeles will return on Sunday, Jan. 8 at 10 p.m. ET as scheduled. While there isn’t much information available about the episode, IMDb has the title registered as “Blood Bank.”

Then on Monday, Jan. 9, the show’s crossover episode will air at 10 p.m. “A Long Time Coming,” will see Rountree and Fatima ambushed in the middle of their search for the MIA Kilbride. In the process they learn that each member of their team has a bounty on their heads. Saving the agents won’t be easy for the NCIS team. They’ll be launching their rescue mission with every criminal gunning for them.

Premium Paramount+ subscribers will be able to watch the NCIS shows when they return live and on-demand. The rest of the streamer’s subscriber base will be able to stream next day.
