Big Bang Theory Christmas episodes in order: How to watch the episodes
Who else misses The Big Bang Theory? I sure do. The popular sitcom, created by Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady, is a comedic gem. And it was also the talented cast who really made it into the success it became.
Jim Parsons as Sheldon Cooper, Johnny Galecki as Leonard Hofstadter, Kaley Cuoco as Penny, Simon Helberg as Howard Wolowitz, Kunal Nayyar as Raj Koothrappali, Melissa Rauch as Bernadette Rostenkowski-Wolowitz, and Mayim Bialik as Amy Farrah Fowler were the perfect cast ensemble.
If you’re like me and miss the series, then the holidays are the perfect time to sit down and rewatch the show! But if you’re busy and don’t have time, then you can at least celebrate the season with the comedy’s Christmas episodes!
How to watch The Big Bang Theory Christmas episodes
The Big Bang Theory had a total of 12 seasons, however the show only did six Christmas episodes throughout its run. How do you watch them? Well, you just go in the episode order based on the season! We’ve listed them all below:
- Season 2, Episode 11 – “The Bath Item Gift Hypothesis”
- Season 3, Episode 11 – “The Maternal Congruence”
- Season 6, Episode 11 – “The Santa Simulation”
- Season 7, Episode 11 – “The Cooper Extraction”
- Season 8, Episode 11 – “The Clean Room Infiltration”
- Season 10, Episode 12 – “The Holiday Summation”
My favorite episode and scene is from Season 2, Episode 11, “The Bath Item Gift Hypothesis.” It’s the moment at the end when Penny gifts Sheldon a napkin from Leonard Nimoy that is autographed, “To Sheldon, Live Long and Prosper,” and used by the actor, who plays Spock in the Star Trek franchise.
Sheldon of course is overwhelmed! Now that he has the actor’s DNA, he said he can grow his own clone. This really is the perfect gift for the scientist and science fiction fan. To show his appreciation, Sheldon gives Penny a hug, which is very rare for the physicist. That absolutely melted our hearts, and it truly was a Christmas miracle! Or, a Saturnalia miracle as Sheldon would say.
All 12 seasons of The Big Bang Theory, including the Christmas episodes, are streaming on HBO Max. And be sure to tune in to the show’s prequel series, Young Sheldon, Thursday nights on CBS.
