What time is Surviving R. Kelly: The Final Chapter on Lifetime tonight? (Jan. 3, 2023)

On Jan. 2, the final chapter of the Peabody award winning docuseries, Surviving Kelly, premiered on Lifetime. The two night event concludes tonight with the last two episodes of the segment.

Night 1 consisted of episodes 1-2 of this final chapter–“30 Years in the Making” and “Taking A Stand”–which centered on the start of R. Kelly’s New York Federal trial, the survivors and their family members recounting the events that led to the trial, Faith (Jane Doe #6) preparing to face Kelly in court, and the intimidation tactics the singer’s supports used against those who dared to speak out against him.

Now Night 2 is set to debut. In the last two episodes of the docuseries, Aaliyah (Jane Doe #1) will be the focus along with the reveal of John Does and new survivors who break their silence. Also featured are survivors who share their victim impact statements while hearing the jury’s verdict.

Surviving R. Kelly‘s finale premieres Tuesday, Jan. 3 at 9 p.m. ET./8 p.m. CT on Lifetime and will be available to stream on Wednesday. Like Night 1, viewers can anticipate a two hour block of programming with two episodes airing.

• “Jane Doe #1” – Aaliyah (Jane Doe #1) becomes integral to the New York Federal trial as she becomes its cornerstone. Also, after nearly 30 years of silence, a new survivor comes forward.
• “The Verdict” – In the conclusion to the docuseries, a new survivor takes the stand and shocking evidence played in court rocks the journalists present. Cultural critics, survivors, and journalists weigh in on the verdict the world had been waiting to hear.

If you’d like to watch the final chapter of the doc all together, episodes 1-2 will re-air at 7 p.m. ET ahead of the premiere of episodes 3-4.
