Married at First Sight season 16 premieres tonight on Lifetime! This season,10 Tennessee based hopefuls will be marrying complete strangers in Nashville, holding onto the belief that they’ll discover they’ve tied their lives to their lifelong partner.

Season 16 opens with “Marry Me in Tennessee,” a premiere that’ll see the soon-to-be married participants in the show learning that they’ll be married in two very short weeks. One bride will take that knowledge to heart and get too flirty with a stripper during the bachelorette party. As for the grooms, one of them will become so overcome with emotions on his big day that he’ll breakdown into tears.

What time is Married at First Sight on tonight?

Married at First Sight season 16 premieres Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2023 at 8 p.m. ET on Lifetime. The season opener will be two hours. Following the episode will be Married at First Sight: Afterparty at 10 p.m. with Keshia Knight Pulliam getting the inside scoop from the cast about the season. The premiere will re-air at 11 p.m. and can be streamed on mylifetime.com on Thursday.

Fans can expect a 23 episode season. The couples will marry, go on their honeymoon, and then settle into their lives as newlyweds once they’ve moved in together. This eight week social experiment will give them the opportunity to determine if they made the right choice. Come its end they’ll have to decide whether they want to remain married or get a divorce.

Lifetime, however, has reported that one of the grooms will make “an indecent proposal” to another man’s wife so expect drama of the highest order when that event unfolds.
