Married at First Sight season 16 cast: Who are the couples this season?

Married at First Sight season 16 premieres Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2023 at 8 p.m. ET on Lifetime. The two hour season opener will introduce viewers to 10 Tennessee based hopefuls looking to find their life partners through this eight week social experiment.

In the first episode, they’ll learn they’ll be getting married in two short weeks. From there its the wedding ceremony, honeymoon, and moving in together to see if their relationship can stand the stress of day-to-day living with one another.

By the end of the season, each couple will have to decide if they’re going to continue their marriage or call it quits. As longtime fans know, the participants won’t be figuring all of this out on their own. They’ll be assisted by experts–Pastor Cal, Dr. Pepper, DeVon Franklin, and Dr. Pia Holec–through this journey with advice on life, love, faith, romance, and sex.

Married at First Sight season 16 cast: The Couples

1. Airris (39) and Jasmine (32)

Airris is a software engineer instructor but that wasn’t always his career path. He’d actually made a drastic change with a decision to move back to Tennessee and complete a software development boot camp. Over the past few years, he’s taken the time to focus on himself to determine what he wants. In a partner, he’d like a strong independent woman who he can plant roots with and start a family.

Jasmine is also an instructor of a different sort. She’s a competitive cheerleading coach. Like Airris, she’s ready to settle down and start a family, however, she hasn’t been the best at picking a potential life partner. Jasmine admits that her “picker” is off, and she’d like to find her true forever person not someone who could potentially be that for her. It’s her belief that the only piece missing from her puzzle is long-lasting love.

2. Christopher (36) and Nicole (32)

Timing is everything and both Christopher and Nicole have had a rough go of it. Three years ago Christopher, who’s a business coach, relocated from Chicago to Nashville and then COVID hit. As such, it’s been hard to meet people.

Nicole is a senior marketing advisor who had been a lifelong resident of New York City. But when she was 30, she decided to leave the toxicity of the city and its dating scene behind for a change of pace in Nashville. Unfortunately, a devastating tornado hit a month after she arrived and then two weeks later, the world shut down due to the pandemic.

Both of these hopefuls are looking to find their true loves after spending years with their lives on pause because of circumstances outside of their control.

3. Clint (40) and Gina (35)

Clint is an account executive and an adventurer at heart. He’s looking for a lifelong partner who can share his adventurous spirit. A strong believer in listening and learning from experts, Clint is putting his hopes and his fate in the hands of the matchmakers in order to meet the one.

Gina is also putting all of her faith in the experts on the show. Four years ago she went through a brutal break-up and decided to focus on advancing her career and figuring out her priorities instead of dating. It’s resulted in a successful salon business. Gina’s looking for a man who can she dream with as well as travel and potentially start a family with, too.

4. Mack (34) and Domynique (25)

Mack is a recent transplant to Nashville and a director of operations at his place of business. He moved to Tennessee for new career opportunities and now wants to concentrate on finding a wife. Mack has always put his career first, but now that he’s ready to settle down and start a family, he’s focused on building a life with his partner.

Domynique is an associate sales broker who’s education has given her the opportunity to excel at her job. Though she hasn’t had many long-term relationships, she believes she’s ready for a lifelong commitment. Domynique has been dating with the intention of settling down, but the bar scene and dating apps haven’t provided the love match she’s been looking for. As such this show is her opportunity to see if her soulmate is out there.

5. Shaquille (31) and Kirsten (32)

Now that he’s in a great spot in his career as an executive director and his personal life, Shaquille is ready to get married. He’s putting his fate in the hands of the experts to find someone who values family, faith, support, and education just like he does. Shaquille is open-minded and wants to give marriage a chance.

Kirsten is a real estate agent and considers herself to be the total package. She knows what she deserves and refuses to settle for less. It’s been difficult finding a man who meets her standards so she’s hoping the experts can find a godly man who isn’t intimidated by her success and wants to grow with her in their partnership.
