The streaming service Peacock is wasting no time in releasing new content, and we are particularly looking forward to their upcoming movie, Sick. When is the movie Sick coming out on Peacock and what is it even about? We have all of the details for you, below, as well as the just-released exciting official trailer.

Peacock may be new in the game of streaming services, but don’t be so quick to sleep on it! The platform has plenty of quality content to offer. It first captured my attention with Dr. Deathwhich, if you haven’t seen it, you really need to! The streamer continues to feature some of our favorite TV shows, as well as release new original content.

What is the movie Sick about on Peacock?

Sick will follow best friends Parker and Miri (portrayed by Gideon Adlon and Bethlehem Million, respectively) as they take shelter in a family lake house to escape the pandemic and get away from it all. But are the two alone? They sure think so! Unfortunately, they’re dead wrong. And though they do have a friend over, there’s someone else with unknown motives. Check out the trailer here:

From the trailer, we can see we’re in for an exciting slasher-horror, but there is also humor sprinkled in. And if it gives you Scream and I Know What You Did Last Summer vibes, that’s because the story was written by Kevin Williamson, who wrote both films. Katelyn Crabb (Blockers, The Craft: Legacy) also co-wrote the movie.

Peacock’s Sick movie release date

We won’t have to wait long for this one, horror fans! And you don’t have to leave home, either, as this movie will head straight to Peacock and not theaters. Sick is set to premiere on Friday, Jan. 13, 2023. That’s right, we’re getting our first horror movie on a Friday the 13th. The movie also stars Marc Menchaca and Jane Adams.
