Will there be a Tulsa King season 2? (Has the show been renewed or cancelled?)

Jan. 8, 2023 marked the end of the first season of Tulsa King. The Taylor Sheridan-led show has been a true success for the streamer. So did the company decide to bring the Paramount+ series back for another season?

Sylvester Stallone, Andrea Savage, Max Casella, Martin Starr, Domenik Lombardozzi, A.C. Peterson, Vincent Piazza, Garrett Hedlund, Jay Will and Dana Delany round out the cast. The show first introduced us to Stallone’s character, Dwight “The General” Manfredi, who is a New York mafia capo. After being in prison for 25 years, his boss exiles him to Tulsa, Oklahoma. Once there, he decides to create his own criminal empire since his “mob family,” wasn’t there for him upon his release.

Episode 9, which was the season 1 finale, was packed! We learned about the event that sent our central character to prison, Stacy Beale (Savage) survived the gunshot wound, and Beale ended up turning Dwight in for his criminal activity. Who saw that coming?

There’s so much that happened this season and more story left to tell. So will us viewers get the chance to continue to see this tale play out?

Will there be a Tulsa King season 2?

Great news Tulsa King fans! Just one week after season 1 premiered (which was on Nov. 13, 2022), Paramount+ decided to renew the series for a second season. Variety shared the news on Nov. 20.

That day, the show’s premiere episode also aired on the Paramount Network to celebrate its debut. According to the news outlet, the pilot brought in 3.7 million viewers. This was the best new linear cable premiere of 2022, Variety reports. So with the popularity of the series and its obvious success for the streaming service, it’s no surprise Tulsa King has been renewed. Lucky us!
