The NCIS three-way crossover event was an exciting night of television that brought all of our favorites together. At the beginning, the teams began investigating a FLETC instructor’s apparent suicide, which had reverberations over all three NCIS shows. Let’s go over what happened on NCIS and how everything culminated in NCIS: Hawaii and NCIS: Los Angeles.

Boone and Tennant arrive at the NCIS office as the team is preparing for Professor Dale Harding’s retirement party. Unfortunately, Vance comes to them with the news that he died by a possible suicide. But when they all arrive to investigate, they are surprised to see Agents Sam Hanna and Grisha Callen, who came from Los Angeles to also attend the party.

Kasie finds evidence he had written a final note called “extra homework” before he shot himself. Plus, he apparently had top secret classified files on his computer that he attempted to delete before the gunshot.

When the DoD discovers who was behind the hacking of the files, it comes back to apparently being McGee as the culprit. Of course, we all know he did nothing wrong, but Sam and Callen have to question him anyway. McGee realizes that when he had lunch with the professor days ago, Harding had apparently used McGee’s absence during a bathroom stop to get his log in info.

NCIS three-way crossover leads with a suspected suicide

Torres and Knight, after getting information from Kasie and Sam, go to see if there are copies of the hidden files at Gibbs’s abandoned cabin. But they end up exchanging gunfire with an unknown individual, who barely got away while leaving his coat and a phone behind.

McGee says goodbye to Callen, who is on his way to Malibu to look into wire transfers the professor had been obtaining. Just as he leaves, Kasie comes to McGee with a voice recording the professor had made on his phone, which was the one left behind by the shooter at the cabin.

McGee is able to identify the voice as belonging to Simon Williams, a man wanted for treason, espionage, and murder, and is on their Most Wanted wall. He had also apparently been a student of Harding’s, but was let go due to his lone wolf tendencies. This leads Torres to wondering if Harding thought he wasn’t fit to continue.

Even though he worries over this, Parker reassures him before he gets FBI files on Williams. He learns an associate of Williams by the name of Mel Cano is heading to Hawaii. At the same time this is happening, Jimmy and Tennant go missing.

NCIS: Hawaii continues with agents being abducted

On NCIS: Hawaii, the team learned they couldn’t trust anyone easily when two women both claimed to be the same CIA agent. While Parker and Tennant’s team learned Simon Williams had a team of rogue agents, they were also made aware of Williams using Hawaii as his base of operations.

Jimmy, Tennant, and Sam managed to save themselves from their abductors as Palmer and Boone came close to finding “Normal Dell.” Unfortunately, he managed to escape along with the other woman claiming to be a CIA agent.

They learn of a company called Haven Ltd., which was a CIA clearinghouse for aliases’ for undercover work. As they begin to figure out where one of the fake Melina’s had been staying, Tennant and Boone go to the address where Haven was located.

Just as Kate comes across a white board with every agent from each of the three NCIS locations listed, Callen appears after being off the grid for most of the episode. Then, Jane and Boone find Normal Dell, who introduces them to “Simon Williams,” a facility that was used as a base for CIA assassination operations. It was supposed to be defunct, but a shadow group is now operating it.

From the looks of it, there are hearings taking place about the organization, but witnesses to the program were being killed. Even though the building explodes in an effort to prevent the bad guys from learning who the former operatives are, they are able to obtain a photograph of the original members of Simon Williams.

Along with Dale, Cano, and Norman, Admiral Hollace Kilbride was also part of the Simon Williams organization. He is the last remaining member alive who can testify about the shadow agency taking over the defunct project.

NCIS: Los Angeles finds an agent taken hostage in the search for Kilbride

With the fake Melina Devlin now in Los Angeles, the team, headed by Jane Tennant, looked for Kilbride. Unfortunately, in the midst of trying to find him, Fatima and Rountree are put in danger on NCIS: Los Angeles in the final NCIS three-way crossover episode.

Rountree is abducted by Melina, aka Morgan, in an attempt to locate Kilbride. Unfortunately, even though he doesn’t know where his boss is since Kilbride fled to protect them, he’s beaten for information.

Agent Afloat Lucy Tara is able to find out that a bounty was placed on all of the NCIS agents, possibly by the Simon Williams group. Just when they think there is no hope, Sam and Callen get help in the form of a voice message from Hetty. Somehow, she knows what is going on, enough to help them get a decoy to take Kilbride’s place to lure in the rogue agents.

As always, the team is able to work together to rescue Rountree, with a surprise appearance from Kilbride himself. With the case over and Kilbride alive to testify to what happened in Washington, the teams disperse and return to their homes.

The NCIS three-way crossover was so exciting and we enjoyed every moment of it! We got to see pairings we normally wouldn’t see and it honestly left us wanting more. If there is a possibility of another crossover, we’re all for it!
