The Bad Batch character names: Which Star Wars characters appear in season 2?

The Bad Batch season 2 is officially streaming on Disney+, with the first two episodes out now. Season 2 will include 16 episodes from now until March 29, with episodes coming out every Wednesday.

The Bad Batch takes place between episodes three and four of the Star Wars movies and follows the Batch as they try to navigate the new empire taking shape around them. With such an iconic Star Wars show, there are a number of characters that could pop up.

Which Star Wars characters appear in The Bad Batch season 2?

There are a number of obvious characters that will appear in The Bad Batch. Obviously, the Bad Batch will be in the series, including Hunter, Echo, Wrecker and Tech. Crosshair, a former member of the Batch who stayed loyal to the Empire, is in the series.

Omega, a young clone who joined the squad, is also one of the main characters of the show. Besides that, there are a few characters we know will appear this season from the trailer for season 2.

Emperor Palpatine

Emperor Palpatine was shown for a few frames in the trailer. He definitely is someone we could expect to see through a hologram this season. Palpatine might not be seen a lot in the show, but he is the central villain in this era of Star Wars.

Bail Organa

Bail Organa was also shown in the trailer. He was a recurring character in The Clone Wars and most recently made an appearance in Tales of the Jedi. While Jimmy Smits plays the live-action Organa, the animated version of the character has been voiced by Phil LaMarr in the past.

Gungi

Gungi is one of the biggest surprises for the new season. He’s a former Jedi Padawan seen in a few episodes of The Clone Wars. Seeing him in the trailer means he survived the purge of the Jedi and he could be a big character in the Star Wars universe moving forward, considering how long wookies live.

Rex

Finally, Captain Rex made an appearance in the trailer. One would expect Rex will play a central role in getting the Batch involved in a new rebellion that is forming against the Empire. Rex has been one of the main clones we have followed in the past. It will be interesting to see where his story will go from here.

Overall, there are a number of characters that would be cool to see this season. Ahsoka is someone I would love to see, but I don’t know if she fits into the narrative they are putting together. If this is focused more on the clones, I think we could see Commander Cody and Tarkin before the end of season 2.
