When will M3GAN arrive on Blu-ray and DVD?

It’s MEGAN’s world, we’re just living in it. The first major release of 2023 came in the form of an android with a murderous streak. After the theatrical run concludes, when will M3GAN be out on Blu-ray and DVD?

Gemma (played by Allison Williams) is a genius roboticist for a technologically advanced toy company, Funki. Gemma suddenly becomes the caretaker of her niece Cady (Violet McGraw) after a tragic accident kills her parents. Unsure of how to handle this newfound responsibility, Gemma turns to her project, MEGAN, for help.

M3GAN, or Model 3 Generative Android, is an artificially intelligent lifelike doll developed by Gemma. The android was designed to be a child’s best friend and loyal companion, especially when caretakers like Gemma need help. At first, MEGAN is a huge success, bonding with Cady and doing exactly what Gemma set out for it to do. However, M3GAN soon develops a violent streak when she becomes overprotective of Cady, leading to tragic consequences.

After one weekend, audiences love M3GAN as the Blumhouse production grossed an impressive $30 million at the domestic box office, outperforming its projections by over $10 million. Because of the initial success, there are already talks of a sequel. Will fans be able to own a physical copy of this horror film anytime soon?

MEGAN Blu-ray and DVD release predictions

The only way to experience M3GAN is in a theater near you. Use an app like Fandango or AMC to check for showtimes and purchase tickets in advance.

As of January 12, there is no official date for the Blu-ray and DVD release. Using a similar movie from the same distribution company, Universal, there are ways to predict when physical copies could become available for purchase.

Ticket to Paradise, another Universal film, was released in theaters on Oct. 21, 2022. After a profitable theatrical run, the film was released on Blu-ray and DVD almost two months later on Dec. 13, 2022. If M3GAN follows the same release schedule, the film could arrive on Blu-ray and DVD in March 2023. Make sure to check back when the date is finalized.
