It is the month of love, or misery, whatever that looks like to you. Below, I share a quick list featuring six February movies to watch and three to skip because, if we’re being honest, they’re not always worth it.

The month has everyone covered, from falling in love to a bear on cocaine to an ant that is a man. The wide range of films set to come out in February is only a baby step toward what is ahead starting in March. I am excited about the movies that are on my watch list for the month as it is one of the more favorable slates in February in a long time.

New February movies to watch

80 For Brady – Theaters – Feb. 3

Rita Moreno, Sally Field, Jane Fonda, and Lily Tomlin head on a mission to attend the Super Bowl and meet Tom Brady. Honestly, it sounds like the best movie of all time. It looks hilarious, and I can’t wait to see it.

Your Place or Mine – Netflix – Feb. 10

Reese Witherspoon is someone that I love watching on the big screen but match that up with Ashton Kutcher, and I believe we are in for a real treat. The story follows Debbie, who decides to chase her dreams, and her best friend Peter steps up to help take care of her son while she does.

At Midnight – Paramount – Feb. 10

If you are looking for the perfect romantic comedy to watch with your significant other, look no further than Monica Barbaro and Diego Boneta-led At Midnight. It’s sweet, charmiIt’sand a whole lot of fun.

Sharper – Apple TV+ – Feb. 17

While Apple TV+ has been known for its classic series, its movies aren’t always slam dunks. That said, Sebastian Stan and Julianne Moore lead this star-studded cast that sees a con artist take on Manhattan’s billionaires.

Ant-man and the Wasp: Quantumania – Theaters – Feb. 17

Honestly, this almost made my skip list based on how awful the trailer is, but I enjoyed the first two Ant-Man movies quite a bit and hope the trilogy closes with a good one. Plus, Jonathan Majors as Kang is one of the things that I am looking forward to the most in this next phase of Marvel films.

Cocaine Bear – Theaters – Feb. 24

A true story of a bear that ingested cocaine and went on a killing spree. What more do I need to say?

New February movies to skip

Somebody I Used To Know – Prime Video – Feb. 10

While I love Alison Brie and Dave Franco, the duo’s first film together, 2020’s The Rental, had plenty of high hopes but was a massive letdown. So due to the volume of movies coming out on the weekend of the 10th, this is an easy skip.

Magic Mike’s Last Dance – Theaters – Feb. 10

Sorry ladies, this one might be for you, but these movies are made for looking and not substance.

We Have a Ghost – Netflix Feb. 25

It looks cute, and I like David Harbour, Anthony Mackie, and Jennifer Coolidge, but this very much looks like a kid’s movie. Now, we do need movies like these to help keep us parent’s sane, but this one is an easy skip for me.

Which are you the most excited to see from the February movie list? Did we miss any?
