Fans of The Last of Us look forward to Sunday nights so they can enjoy a new episode of HBO’s The Last of Us. Sadly, all great things must come to an end. With each release of new The Last of Us episodes, we get closer and closer to the action-packed season 1 finale. When is the last episode of The Last of Us season 1?

First of all, no need to panic! There are still several episodes remaining this season, six episodes, at the time of this writing. That’s right, the first season of the series features nine episodes. A bit short, if you ask me. On the bright side, HBO has already renewed The Last of Us for a second  season, so we know there’s more to look forward to! Still, it’s nice to be prepared.

When is the last episode of HBO’s The Last of Us?

These are the dates and episode titles for all upcoming (and already released) episodes so you don’t miss a thing! Don’t forget, runtimes for episodes change, but they all start at 9 p.m. ET only on HBO and streaming at that same time on HBO Max. Where will you be watching?

  • Episode 1 “When You’re Lost in the Darkness” — Sunday, Jan. 15
  • Episode 2 “Infected” — Sunday, Jan. 22
  • Episode 3 “Long Long Time” — Sunday, Jan. 29
  • Episode 4 “Please Hold My Hand” — Sunday, Feb. 5
  • Episode 5 “Endure and Survive” — Sunday, Feb. 12
  • Episode 6 “Kin” — Sunday, Feb. 19
  • Episode 7 “Left Behind” — Sunday, Feb. 26
  • Episode 8 “When We Are in Need” — Sunday, March 5
  • Episode 9 — Sunday, March 12

As you can see, the title to the season 1 finale has not yet been released. We’ll update you as soon as it does. In the meantime, we at least know the titles to the the first eight episodes and that the big season 1 finale is on Sunday, March 12.

The Last of Us stars Pedro Pascal as Joel, Bella Ramsey as Ellie, Gabriel Luna as Tommy, Anna Torv as Tess, and Nico Parker among others.
