Let’s get loud as the Disney+ original series The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder returns for its second season which was announced back in Dec. 2022! The show has become a favorite amongst fans old and new, so much so that if you haven’t seen the first season yet, what are you waiting for?
The series follows Penny Proud, a teenage girl living in the 2020s who has to navigate adolescence and family and friend-related shenanigans that ensue in her hometown of Smithville, California. The show was created and is executive produced by Bruce W. Smith and Ralph Farquhar who return from the original 2001 Disney Channel series, The Proud Family.
Its main cast includes the return of voice talents Kyla Pratt as Penny Proud, Tommy Davidson as Oscar Proud, Paula Jai Parker as Trudy Proud, and Jo-Marie Payton as Suga Mama.
Olympian gymnasts Gabby Douglas and Dominque Dawes, actress Storm Reid, and talk-show host Maury Povich, are expected to make animated appearances in the upcoming season so you don’t want to miss these episodes when they drop on the streamer!
