Shows to stop watching 6: Chicago PD

It seems to be a lot of crime dramas need to come to an end. That’s something crazy for me to say when I run Precinct TV. The problem is some of these crime dramas are taking up air space and it could be time to find another type of franchise to start up.

I have a lot of issues with Chicago PD, especially when it comes to Voight. I have from the beginning, but I had hoped the series would help to bring some sort of growth for the character. It’s not quite been enough.

Then there’s the problem with how underused Atwater is. Storylines are introduced and then forgotten about just a few episodes later and never brought back up again. It’s something I’ve said needs to be fixed before, and I’ll keep saying it. Maybe it’s time to stop hate-watching and stop watching completely in 2023.

Shows to stop watching 5: Monster

Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story dropped on Netflix in 2022. It’s already been renewed for two more seasons, following different serial killers and their victims. Maybe it’s something to completely drop from your viewing list, though.

Jeffrey Dahmer’s victims have already spoken out about the series. It wasn’t the positive light that it was promoted to be. And we know Ryan Murphy has a problem with showing a little too much of certain types of scenes.

This series could have been something more like A Friend of the Family, which had Jan Broberg heavily involved in the creation. Instead, it brought more of a shock factor than anything else.

Shows to stop watching 4: The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On

I’ll admit that I couldn’t even get through the first two episodes of this series, so I’ll admit that I don’t know how it ended for everyone. However, The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On brings far too many problems for me to keep watching.

It focuses far too much on rushing some people into marriage. I don’t think marriage is something that anyone should rush into. There’s nothing wrong with going through your 20s not really sure if you want to settle down or not. Enjoy the time, and don’t feel guilty if you realize that you don’t want to be with one person for the rest of your life. Divorce is messy and expensive!

It doesn’t help that many have lost the true meaning of marriage. If someone can easily play away for a show like this, are they really the type of person you want to be with in the end?
