The Bold and the Beautiful recap (Feb. 8): Taylor didn’t overdose, she took a sleeping pill
By Sabrina Reed
I won’t leave you hanging in suspense. No, Taylor didn’t attempt suicide on The Bold and the Beautiful. As today’s episode made clear, it was a misunderstanding and Brooke’s alarm, while appreciated by the good doctor, was unwarranted.
However, it did give the Logan an opportunity to express how much she cares for Taylor, in fact she counts herself among those who love her. Concern for Taylor also pushed Brooke to make a surprising decision, one that could see the two women moving in together in the near future if she has her way.
Elsewhere, Sheila got an unexpected visit from Deacon not that she complained about it one bit. And Steffy continued to express her worries over Taylor to Finn. Here’s the full recap of today’s events on The Bold and the Beautiful!
What happened today on The Bold and the Beautiful?
Yesterday, Brooke was shocked to find Taylor passed out across the bed seemingly having overdosed. But appearances weren’t as they seemed and Brooke found that out after she threw water at Taylor when calling her name and shaking her didn’t wake her up.
The water did the trick, Taylor jolted out of sleep, wet and incredibly confused. It wasn’t until Brooke calmed down enough to tell her why her emotions were at a high that she understood what was going on. Her friend had assumed the notebook she found contained a suicide note and that Taylor had taken pills in order to “end things” as she’d written.
Turns out those pills are a sleep supplement and Taylor was writing out a confession not a farewell. The two embraced as Taylor expressed appreciation for Brooke’s concern and how far they’ve come in the friendship they’re building together.
Back at the Cliff House, Steffy and Finn continued their conversation about Taylor’s spiraling. Steffy was soothed once Brooke called to inform her that her mother’s fine and didn’t turn herself into the authorities. With that concern put to bed, Sinn were able to snuggle on the couch.
I don’t know how Steffy will react if she learns Brooke offered her mom a room at Logan Manor, but that’s an option for Taylor now. As Brooke put it, she could use the company. She doesn’t see Hope, Liam, or their family as much as she’d like and the house is so big with just her in it.
Taylor didn’t immediately accept Brooke’s offer, so we’ll have to wait until the next episode to find out if the two will live together. But it did look like she was considering it.
Deacon surprises Sheila with a visit
Across town at the Spencer estate, Sheila looked to be setting up a night-in for her and Bill. She was dressed in a lovely, emerald jump suit style sweater ensemble and was awaiting a delivery from Il Giardino. What she didn’t expect was Deacon to be her delivery man.
He arrived with a ball cap on and shades as to not draw attention to himself and slip by Bill’s security without raising alarm. Though she was surprised, Sheila was also delighted to see her friend. She explained that Bill would be home after he finished up an international business call that was running over, so they had time to chat.
Time continued to go by which prompted Sheila to offer some of their meal to Deacon as they settled in to talk. When she went off to get some wine, Deacon took the opportunity to palm the knight on Bill’s chessboard, showing he’s still not willing to behave where Bill is concerned. His jealousy also reared its head as Sheila waxed on about how the CEO is different with her.
As she put it, they’re able to open up with one another, and he appreciates that he’s never been with a woman quite like her before. Deacon couldn’t believe he was saying it but he and Bill do agree on that one point at least. Sheila, however, is playing with fire and that was obvious in their scenes.
She’s still incredibly attracted to Deacon. They can’t help but flirt and banter whenever they’re around each other and it doesn’t always feel friendly. Deacon certainly has intent behind it and Sheila is doing her best to stay out of the danger zone but it’s a struggle.
Deacon requested that Sheila be careful when dealing with Bill. He doesn’t believe the man is trustworthy and she shouldn’t give her heart to him. It may be too little too late on that front but Deacon did want her to know that she still has a safe place to land with him.
Sheila wouldn’t let him be self-deprecating about his apartment and made a heartfelt speech about the time they spent together. She cherishes it deeply, it’s part of why she misses him along with how much he makes her laugh.
These two can’t possibly be able to keep seeing each other without someone noticing their friendship, so I know we’re all interested in watching how that unfolds. Until next time, Bold fans. Stay beautiful!
