Walker Independence, the prequel series to Walker, has enthralled viewers since we were first introduced to the town of Independence and a justice seeking Abigail Collins who changed her name after the murder of her husband to hide her identity.

The show’s freshman season has taken us through a whirlwind of captivating plots that have seen betrayal, scheming, ill-advised hook-ups, reunions, and more. It’s the kind of series that draws in fans of westerns and those who’ve never dabbled in the genre before.

Being a part of the Walker franchise also means the series is executive produced by Jared Padalecki, the star of the flagship series who’s a household name thrice over for his roles on Gilmore Girls, Supernatural, and Walker. Fans of the latter have been wondering if he’d make an appearance in the prequel before the season ends. Well, now we have our answer!

Is Jared Padalecki in Walker Independence?

Yes! Padalecki will make a cameo in Walker Independence episode 12, “How We Got Here,” which seems to serve as flashback episode for the season.

According to the synopsis, viewers will be let in on the backstories of the main players on the show through letters Gus writes to his late wife. As he tells Abby, Hoyt, Calian, Kate, Kai and Tom’s stories, we’ll also learn how they’ve played a role in each other’s destiny.

There’s been no word on how Padalecki has been folded into the episode and whether he’s playing his character Cordell from Walker or will be portraying a character in the timeline the prequel takes place in. Judging by the promo for “How We Got Here,” it’s possible he could have a scene with Matt Barr’s Hoyt Rawlins, the ancestor of Cordell’s deceased best friend of the same name.
