Everybody is working for the weekend, literally so happy that Friday has arrived. Below, we share the best new weekend movies to watch in theaters and available on streaming services that you won’t want to miss.

The month of February has been insane, with one hit after another, but this week we see the return of Marvel and the beginning of Phase Five. Between that, a re-release of a classic film, a brand new movie from Apple TV+, and Prime Video, we have a wide range of films dropping this weekend.

Weekend movies to watch (and stream) today

  • Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Theaters
  • Of An Age, Theaters
  • Sharper, Apple TV+
  • Boy From Nowhere, Prime Video
  • Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Theaters/Re-release

I know I wasn’t the only one completely underwhelmed with 75% of the Phase Four of Marvel. While they had some good (Spider-Man: No Way Home, Ms. Marvel, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever), they also had some bad (Black Widow, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness). That said, Ant-Man, for me, is two for two in movies. While the second wasn’t as good as the first, I still found it quite enjoyable.

We have the big release as we are starting to see Kang The Conqueror play a big part in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, which makes me excited because Jonathan Majors is an incredible actor and a great asset for the next phase. Although both of the film trailers underwhelmed me, I am holding out hope that the finished product knocks it out of the ballpark.

Last week we saw the re-release of Titanic on its 25th Anniversary, this week, we have the re-release of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon with a 4K restoration. The film features recent Oscar-nominee Michelle Yeoh in the movie.

What will you be watching this weekend? Will you enjoy a movie in theaters or streaming?
