Peter Pan and Wendy release date, cast, trailer and more

Be sure to stick to the second star to the right, and you’ll find your way to Neverland! Disney+ is taking us on a soaring adventure to the fantastical world with the new film, Peter Pan and Wendy!

The movie is directed and co-written by David Lowery, with Toby Halbrooks also penning the script. Halbrooks, Adam Borba, and Thomas M. Hammell, serve as executive producers.

Over the years Disney has been creating live-action projects based on the company’s infamous animation classics, many of which have been a success. Of course, nothing comes close to the original work. But, for nostalgic purposes and for the new generation of Disney fans, these reimaginings aren’t always a bad idea.

Peter Pan and Wendy release date

Mark your calendars! The fantasy adventure is set to be released Friday, April 28, 2023 on Disney+. That’s right, you’ll be able to stream the movie from the comfort of your home!

Peter Pan and Wendy synopsis

The production, based on the 1953 classic, introduces us to Wendy who does not want to go to boarding school. As the trailer suggests, she may be afraid of growing up. The perfect person enters her life, Peter Pan. Of course, he’s a boy who refuses to grow up, per the synopsis. He takes her, as well as the Darling brothers John and Michael, on a “thrilling and dangerous adventure” alongside Tinker Bell. Plus, Captain Hook pops in, and he doesn’t have the best of intentions.

Most of the main cast are fresh, new actors. But there may be some familiar faces you’ll recognize. Actress Yara Shahidi takes on the role of everyone’s favorite fairy, Tinker Bell. The actress gained recognition in her role as Zoey Johnson in Black-ish.

Captain Hook actor Jude Law has been in a number of projects including Sherlock Holmes, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore, and Captain Marvel. Check out the full cast list below:
