Survivor fans rejoice as the premiere of Survivor 44 lands on CBS tonight! The hit reality TV show continues its longstanding place on Wednesday nights, starting at 8 p.m. ET. Much like previous seasons, there are a lot of questions about what kind of challenges and twists the new players will face along the 26-day competition.

With a shorter window of time on the island of Fiji, each day is crucial for players to survive getting their torch snuffed at the end of each episode. All castaways must find a way to navigate within their tribes by building close bonds, while trying to perform well in challenges.

How long is the Survivor 44 premiere tonight?

Survivor 44 looks to continue its change in the new era, with little to no food given freely, difficult challenges and a shortened season, which was instituted as a result of the pandemic. There have been incredible alliances, betrayals, immunity challenges and an abundance of constantly evolving blindsides. The Survivor 44 cast will have to remain on their toes at all times, since the previous seasons have seen a variety of different twists land at their feet.

From immunity-altering advantages to idols handed over freely amongst tribemates, it’s clear those who can keep a secret the longest might just be the best suited to move closer to the final tribal council. Survivor 41 winner Erika Casupanan took the hourglass twist and turned the game upside down. Survivor 42 winner Maryanne Oketch stole the show by landing the “chef’s kiss” blindside of the season. Survivor 43 winner Mike Gabler hid in plain sight after taking out his biggest threat at the merge.

All of these winners understood their games and knew how they were being perceived in the game. They made moves, shifted the game amongst their alliances and ultimately explained how they succeeded in their final tribal council moments. The Survivor 44 players will need to be hyper-aware of, not only their game, but how the other players perceive one another.

Those perceptions, and the strategies built upon those perceptions, will begin in the two-hour long premiere when Survivor 44 airs at 8 p.m. ET on Wednesday, March 1. It’s unclear if the twists will be altered in any way from the previous season, but the excitement will be equally palpable each and every week.
