It is an exciting time to be a Mel Brooks fan. Since perhaps 2005 with the musical remake of The Producers, comedy fans have waited 17 years for a major Brooks led project to hit the scene, and on March 6, we are finally getting just that with The History of the World Part 2.

Similar to Martin Luther nailing his thesis on Pope Leo’s door, or the invention of the lightbulb, this is set to be a premiere of historic proportions, and one that you definitely don’t want to miss. So how can you make sure you don’t?

Where can you stream The History of the World Part 2?

In June 18, 1981, The History of the World Part 1 premiered in 484 theaters, the same weekend as Raiders of the Lost Ark. Distributed by 20th Century Fox, the film grossed over $31 million dollars, and co-starred comedic personalities of the time such as Sid Caesar, Dom DeLuise, and Madeline Kahn. With this sequel series coming a full 42 years after the original though, as history has proven, times have changed. There are new comedians to collaborate with, and The History of the World Part 2 features some of the best of our times like Jack Black, Wanda Sykes, Danny DeVito, and many, many more.

Additionally, the times of theaters being the top choice of means for the distribution of content have begun to pass. Where Part 1 was a feature length film, Part 2 will be a multi-episode series going directly to streaming services; more specifically, Hulu, where History of the World Part 2 will be an exclusive offering for their customers.  That is highly unlikely to change anytime soon, so if The History of the World Part 2 is a must see for you, as it is with all Mel Brooks disciples, myself included, then Hulu is a must have streaming service for the month of March.

The History of the World Part 2 will begin dropping episodes on March 6, in a “Four Night Event” exclusive to the Hulu streaming service.
