Shrinking season 2 on Apple TV+ release updates and more

Sometimes shows do so well that their network or production company decides to bring it back for a new season even before the full season has been released to viewers. That’s exactly what happened with Apple TV+’s freshman dramedy, Shrinking!

As of this writing on March 10, 2023, the first eight episodes out of 10 of the first season are streaming on the platform. And though the finale isn’t upon us just yet, Apple TV+ feels so strongly about the show’s success that season 2 is now officially confirmed!

We honestly can’t blame the streamer as we’re definitely enjoying the show as well. The mix of lightheartedness and humanizing characteristics each character portrays is the perfect mix to make the right kind of story.

The series is created by lead actor Jason Segel, Bill Lawrence, and Brett Goldstein. The show follows grieving therapist Jimmy (Segel) who decides to take a new approach on life and at his job – tell the truth no matter what. He starts to see that this may help his clients, as well as himself.

It’s still very early, so there isn’t much information yet. Here’s what we know so far!

Shrinking season 2 release updates

The second season has just been renewed, so obviously it hasn’t even started filming yet. Production on the first season began in April 2022 and then the comedy was on our screens around nine months later on Jan. 27, 2023. So whenever those cameras start rolling we’re hoping it won’t take long to get the second season afterwards.

The official cast list hasn’t been announced yet, however we can assume the following actors will be coming back:
