When is Mark Consuelos’ first episode of Live with Kelly and Mark?

Live with Kelly and Ryan is soon to be rebranded as Live with Kelly and Mark! Why is that? That’s because the current host’s real-life husband Mark Consuelos is set to take the seat next to her following Ryan Seacrest’s exit coming up soon. So when is the actor set to make his morning show debut?

In February 2023, Seacrest announced he was leaving the show after six years, having started in 2017. While not giving a direct reason, his Instagram post alludes to how it’s been hard to split his time between New York City for Live with Kelly and Ryan and LA for American Idol and other ventures. But don’t worry too much! Seacrest did say he would return as a guest host in the future!

And while we say goodbye to the fan-favorite, we’re getting a new one who I’m sure we’re all going to love! I mean Ripa and Consuelos obviously already have the chemistry, so we don’t need to worry on that front. Plus, he’s done such a good job in the past when he appeared to guest host a number of times.

So when is his official initiation into the morning talk show set to start? We’ve got the answer for you below!

When is Mark Consuelos’ first episode of Live with Kelly and Mark?

At the Countdown to Oscars 95 the day of the 95th Academy Awards, Ripa, Seacrest, and Consuelos announced the show’s new co-host will officially begin Monday, April 17, 2023. That means Seacrest’s final day will be Friday, April 14. Check out the announcement below!

Ripa and Consuelos met on the set of ABC soap opera, All My Children in the ’90s. The two tied the knot in 1996 and have three children together. The actor is known for his roles as Mateo Santos on the soap opera where he met Ripa, Spivey in American Horror Story: Asylum, and Hiram Lodge on The CW’s Riverdale. We can’t wait to see what shenanigans and fun he and his lovely wife have onscreen together!

Live with Kelly and Ryan airs weekdays on ABC. Mark Consuelos’ first episode, changing the name to Live with Kelly and Mark, will be Monday, April 17, 2023.
