The Bold and the Beautiful recap (March 29): Sheila runs to Deacon
By Sabrina Reed
If you guessed that Sheila survived the fall from Bill’s balcony, you were right! The billionaire was in a panic at the top of the episode today on The Bold and the Beautiful as his carefully laid plans went up in smoke. He should have never taken his eyes off her, doing so gave Sheila the opportunity to run.
Through soap magic, she managed not only to walk away from that fall, but she also seemed unharmed. Not a scratch, scrape, or bump was apparent on Sheila as she sped away from Spencer Mansion. After informing Ridge and Agent Chen what happened, Bill went racing after her in his own vehicle. Interestingly, he didn’t tell the authorities of where he thinks Sheila is going.
The FBI and the police are busy canvassing the area around Bill’s home when they should be heading to Il Giardino. As Bill told Ridge, they both know who Sheila’s off to see and that’s Deacon. That should have been information he told law enforcement, but I guess this whole situation has become even more personal for him since he had her in his grasp and he let her get away.
The Bold and the Beautiful recap (March 29)
As Sheila was speeding to get to Deacon, the man in question was having a check-in with Hope. She stopped by the restaurant to talk with her dad and inquired after what seems to be bothering him. Deacon brushed it off as stress over getting his bearings as the owner of Il Giardino, but we know it’s about Sheila and her engagement. Hope accepted his answer, but it was clear she thinks something else is going on.
The two discussed Douglas’ return to the cabin. The child is settling back in and Hope couldn’t be happier to have her son at home again. She doesn’t even want to consider what it’s going to feel like when she becomes an empty nester but before now she has both her kids filling her house with laughter and joy.
She’s also glad that things are back on track with Thomas. While Deacon’s highly protective of her, and insisted she be careful where Thomas is concerned, Hope asserted that she has everything under control. One sign of backsliding from her lead designer and she promises that he’ll be let go and she’ll figure something else out when it comes to her line.
Like Liam, Deacon firmly stated that Hope doesn’t need Thomas for her line to be great. She’s put in the work, and she can do so again if she has to. Hope appreciated the sentiment, and she did hear her dad, but she also knows her son picked up on the tension between his parents and that’s why he chose to go live with Steffy. She wants to make sure that Douglas can see the two of them being friendly co-workers and co-parents and not feel caught in the middle. So, while she is keeping an eye out for any issues with Thomas, she’s choosing to focus on the positive.
Besides, with Sheila on the loose, Thomas isn’t Hope’s biggest concern. Deacon tried to assure his daughter that the infamous woman won’t be bothering anyone, but she couldn’t believe that he’d say that considering as long as Sheila breathes, she’ll be an issue for her family. What she doesn’t know is that Deacon feels this way because he’s aware of what’s going on in Sheila’s life and assumes the engagement/pending nuptials will keep Sheila occupied.
When Sheila texted him, urging him to come back to his apartment, Deacon cut his talk with Hope short. But he did say that he hopes to always be someone that she’s proud of which may not bode well for Sheila since Hope sees her as dangerous and deserving of being locked up for life.
As soon as Sheila saw Deacon, she told him what happened. He was surprised to learn she’d told Bill how she was involved in the deaths of Jay Garvin and Lance Day. She swore Jay’s fall was accidental, but she did admit that she intended to kill Lance, explaining that she had to do it.
Desperate and aware that the walls are closing in on her, Sheila told Deacon that she loves him and that he knows that she does. She asked him to run away with her, but I doubt he’s going to do that. Deacon’s situation has improved and running with the Feds hot on their trail thanks to Bill and Ridge scheming isn’t something he’d likely be willing to do no matter how much he cares for Sheila.
