To the surprise of absolutely no one (except for Li), Finn chose to save Sheila’s life today on The Bold and the Beautiful. While Li was willing to ignore the shriek of the machine informing them all that Sheila had flatlined, even going as far as to talk about letting her die despite the attending nurse being right there, Finn hopped into action.

After a near miss, and no input from Steffy who was only pulling increasingly concerned faces in the back, Finn was able to stabilize his biological mom with a defibrillator. Though Sheila flatlined twice she still had enough strength to wake and see that her son had brought her back from the brink of death proving, at least in Sheila’s mind, that he loves her. Overcome by the whole situation, Finn, Steffy, and Li left the room.

The latter couldn’t believe Finn didn’t just let Sheila die so that they could all be rid of her in their lives, but he said that he couldn’t do it. He loves his family and hates what Sheila’s done but letting her die on his watch was a tall order. And, I’m going to be frank, it would have been a traumatizing decision, personally I thought Li needed to chill.

Anyway, Steffy embraced Finn and told him that she loved him while Li went back to Sheila’s room. There she oversaw the police officer on duty cuff Sheila to the bed and then, once he left, she told Sheila that she was going to rot in prison and then she was going to rot in hell.

What happened today on The Bold and the Beautiful?

Across town, at Forrester Mansion, Ridge and Bill finally got to tell members of their family all that they’d done to ensure that Sheila couldn’t bother them anymore. At first, like on Friday, their loved ones laid into them continuing to ask how could Bill align himself with Sheila. The two could barely get a word in edge wise but once they could, they were able to explain they were working in partnership with the FBI and Lt. Baker.

This had a huge impact on all present. Taylor, however, struggled with the news because she’d been blackmailed and Steffy and Finn could have put Sheila away for attempted murder. But, as Bill pointed out, that charge wouldn’t have carried the life sentence that first degree murder would and he wanted to ensure that their families, especially their grandkids, would be safe from her forever.

Later, Ridge was also able to share with Taylor that Bill had made sure she’d gotten immunity from her crime against him years ago, which means she no longer has to worry about being brought up on charges for attempting to murder him.

The most moved by Bill’s actions was Katie. While Carter seemed to be oblivious to it, she and her ex-husband kept making eyes at one another through this whole reveal. When they were left alone, as everyone else cleared out toward the balcony, she got to express her frustration with Bill’s actions and how unbelievably grateful she is for what he did. This involved laying into him, even slapping him, before pulling Bill into a kiss. She explained that this side of him is why she left him, but it’s also why she loved him. He’d do anything to protect his family.

The Bold and the Beautiful has pulled a bait and switch before when it comes to unexpected smooches, but it wouldn’t be out of the realm of possibility for Katie to lay one on Billy even with the risk of Carter catching them. The two weren’t behind a closed door, they were standing in the foyer so anyone could walk in and create drama.

Speaking of, with Ridge back in town, things between him, Taylor, and Brooke could get interesting. He kept addressing them both, as a unit, when speaking to them. He even flirted, asking if finding out he was working with the FBI made them hot. The two teased him playing at the possibility of it before relenting and saying actually they were relieved.

Ridge asked if he missed anything while he was gone and the two said maybe before walking off together. Brooke and Taylor were quite touchy throughout the episode, clearly showing their friendship is very much intact. How long that will last is anyone’s guess.

Until next time, Bold fans. Stay beautiful!
