Barbie movie starring Margot Robbie release date, teaser, cast, and more

Get ready to be transported into a world filled with all things pink in the new Warner Bros. film, Barbie! The movie stars Margot Robbie in the titular role with Ryan Gosling playing Ken.

Director Greta Gerwig co-wrote the script with Noah Baumbach. The leading star serves as a producer, with Michael Sharp, Josey McNamara, Ynon Kreiz, Courtenay Valenti, Toby Emmerich and Cate Adams.

Barbie release date

The movie is set to make its theatrical debut this summer on Friday, July 21, 2023! The release date and a first-look were first shared at CinemaCon 2022 earlier this year. Right now, the production is just set to be on the big screens. However, that doesn’t mean it won’t come to streaming, most likely on HBO Max, at a later date.

Barbie synopsis

Warner Bros. hasn’t shared full synopsis, but we do have a logline:

"To live in Barbie Land is to be a perfect being in a perfect place. Unless you have a full-on existential crisis. Or you’re a Ken."

Variety shared that we can expect to see the titular character and Ken dealing with being stuck in the real world, and what being a live woman means for the infamous doll.

Joining Robbie and Gosling as the popular characters, the film has a star-studded cast! Those include Will Ferrell, Isa Rae, Kate McKinnon, Nicola Coughlan, and more!
