The Bold and the Beautiful dialed the temperature up on Friday, Apr. 7’s episode. Things started innocently enough. Hope took in the nice dinner Brooke was organizing for her family and bailed on the get together. Given the fantasy she had of Thomas, she needed to have a romantic night with her husband otherwise her thoughts were going to stray. This left Brooke having to explain to Ridge when he arrived that it was just going to be the two of them.

Unfazed, he settled in with a glass of wine and took up space on Brooke’s living room floor as they sat around the coffee table and chatted about their kids. Ridge asked her if she, too, believes that Thomas is changing and making progress. She admitted that she’s tentatively saying that she thinks this time he really has changed much to Ridge’s delight.

Their conversation took a more serious turn when Brooke stated she wished Thomas hadn’t gotten in the middle of their marriage. Ridge agreed but also took ownership of his own behavior, none of this would have happened if he’d just talked to her. It was obvious their spark hadn’t died in his absence and that became more apparent as the night went on.

Earlier Brooke let Ridge know that she was glad to have him to herself. However, it put her in serious danger of violating the pact she’d made with Taylor. Brooke swayed into him when dinner was winding down and they were reminiscing about good times with their son RJ. Though she headed up the stairs at Ridge’s behest after he said he’d lock up once he finished his wine, she ended up coming down stairs in her negligee.

Brooke’s excuse was that she’d been washing her face when she realized that she hadn’t put out the candles, so she was surprised to see Ridge still there. But, as he pointed out, he told her that he’d secure the house before he left. Instead of heading back upstairs once she finished her task, Brooke gave Ridge an eyeful of her night attire.

He admired it and the conversation turned flirty. While Brooke did mention her and Taylor’s pact, it didn’t do anything to deter their building desire for one another. Brooke had had a noticeable reaction when Ridge hugged her before she went upstairs to go to bed, and she reacted similarly to the hug he gave her while she was in her nighty.

While the episode ended before we could see if Bridge gave into their desire to be with one another, the same can’t be said for Liam and Hope. Clearly feeling guilty over her thoughts toward her husband’s rival, Hope threw together some candlelight ambiance for his benefit. Liam was surprised to come home to the set-up and to hear that the kids were sleeping over friends’ houses so they could have a quiet night to themselves.

Hope told him that she wanted to give them this time because she didn’t like how things went down at Forrester Creations when they had that “little” disagreement. Once again she explained that what he’d walked in on was the aftermath of an accident, and Liam said his own piece about his reaction and how he feels. For the night, however, Hope wanted to put that all to the side to concentrate on their relationship.

Agreeing, and swept away by her gesture, the two shared a kiss that was deepening until Thomas rang Hope’s cell. She silenced the call which Liam was grateful for but over her shoulder she was staring at her missed call from Thomas. Trying to snap herself out of it, Hope kissed Liam passionately, but when their interaction started veering toward steamy, she wound up seeing Thomas in front of her instead of her husband.

This threw Hope off but once she saw Liam in front of her again, she tried harder to connect with him. The last we see of the couple, they’re entangled in each other’s arms headed toward intimacy that Liam has said they’ve needed. It’s his belief that they need more nights where it’s just the two of them.

Meanwhile, in Malibu, Taylor and Thomas gathered at Steffy’s house to check-in. Finn wasn’t home so they were able to ask how she felt about him choosing to save Sheila. She didn’t have a problem with it because letting her die wouldn’t have been in his character. Besides Sheila was stabilized and sent to prison so she feels safe.

When the conversation turned to Brooke and Ridge having dinner together, Thomas wondered what that would mean for Taylor. He was surprised she was even hanging with her kids since he thinks she should be spending time with their father. Taylor shut that down stating that Bridge were having dinner with Liam, Hope, Douglas, and Beth. Plus, she fully believes in the pact Brooke and she made. We’ll see how long that belief lasts when she finds out what those two were up to when left alone.
