Looking for a movie to tune into this weekend? Lifetime, as usual, has you covered. Saturday’s primetime offering is Drunk, Driving, and 17, a 2023 film that stars Gossip Girl‘s Savannah Lee Smith and Dynasty‘s Michael Michele.

The movie is inspired by true events and centers on the consequences that result from underage drinking and adults hosting social events for teens that includes alcohol. Smith plays Kim, a 17 year old who’s everything a parent wants their child to be. She’s a Standford-bound, popular honor student with a good head on her shoulders who’s typically responsible.

But when Kim catches her boyfriend Dan flirting with another girl, she spirals and makes a poor decision. Before she knows it, Kim’s involved in a head-on car collision that nearly took her classmate’s life and she’s not the only one who’s going to be held accountable for her actions. She drank at Dan’s party and his parents, Martha (Michele) and Tim, were aware alcohol was being served. Now the town and the police are weighing in on the choices being made that night.
