Liam’s insecurities reared their head again on The Bold and the Beautiful today. He’d tentatively introduced the idea that there may be something deeper to why Hope keeps letting Thomas back in her life last episode but this was an expansion on his paranoia. Steffy was surprised that he thought Hope may have feelings for Thomas but then Liam clarified.

He’s torn between wondering if there is something more to Hope’s faith in Thomas which he doesn’t conceive of as being romantic (sure, Liam) or having to accept that Hope is just that generous. Liam put her through a lot when it comes to his relationship with Steffy and, though their relationship has had to change because of their marriages, his love for her. So if she can move past that to see the good in him then maybe she’s doing the same for Thomas.

For her part, all Steffy did is reassure Liam once more that there’s nothing but work going on with her brother and Hope even with them spending a lot of time together during the work day and into the night. She was further taken aback when Liam seemed to suggest that she spy on the two. Clearly, this whole situation is driving him crazy but there’s nothing she can do about that beyond keep him from letting his mind get away from him.

Stating she had to go to work, Steffy left Liam to settle himself. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen as he carried his fears to his brother Wyatt at Il Giardino.

What happened on The Bold and the Beautiful today?

Apparently, Liam was so compelled to drop in on Steffy to ask her about his wife and Thomas that he ended up missing an important deal closing meeting that he and Wyatt were supposed to lead together. On his way back from the Cliff House, Liam got stuck in traffic which prevented him from being by Wyatt’s side. His brother, however, did secure the deal so they didn’t lose a business opportunity.

When Wyatt asked what happened, Liam launched into a discussion about how he just had to pick Kelly’s homework up from Steffy’s because she’d left it and that while he was doing that he asked Steffy about the Thope situation at Forrester. When Wyatt inquired about if the talk helped him, Liam said yes and that he trusts what Steffy’s saying, he just worries.

Both brothers acknowledged that the good news of Thomas staying on track is what the Forresters need. In fact, they deserve only good news due to all that they’ve been through with Sheila and Ridge being M.I.A. because of his partnership with the FBI. The two will likely soon be let in on the happiness the family are experiencing now that RJ is back home.

The conversation in the main office at Forrester Creations still centered on how glad everyone is that he’s going to be in town for awhile. Ridge continued to push for him to work at the company and still his junior declined the offer. When Thomas was asked to back Ridge up, he didn’t do that. He said that he’s been keeping up with his brother’s work online and that he’s proud of him, he’s not even sure if RJ would want to work at the company.

Grumbling at Thomas’ lack of assistance, Ridge told him that he wasn’t being helpful so Thomas told RJ that, of course, he’s welcome at Forrester if he wants a position. The awkwardness between the brothers was palpable, but there was an attempt to clear the air when RJ spoke with Thomas about what happened.

Thomas assured him that something like that would never happen again and RJ put him “on notice” because he won’t let him mess with his mom and dad. He also said he didn’t want to get caught up in the family drama and admitted that’s what’s kept him out of LA as he’s been gone but not out of the loop.

After somewhat burying the hatchet, the two acknowledged how happy their parents looked which is new for them both considering Brooke and Taylor have been feuding for as long as RJ has been alive. He came home once he learned of their friendship because he wanted to see it himself. A bit later, Steffy walked into the room asking about a surprise Charlie was going on about and then she saw her little brother.

Embracing him with warmth and happiness, she, too, was excited to see RJ and spoke on loving to have him work at the company. Overjoyed upon seeing his family all together, Ridge gave a speech on how he doesn’t have two families, he has one big, blended one and he wanted to commemorate the occasion by taking a picture.

At first, Hope offered to take the picture, but Ridge told her that she may not be his daughter but he does see her as his family so he waved her off. He took the photo, telling them all to gather round for the first group shot of his family together. It was a lovely picture.
