Will there be another Fast and Furious movie after Fast X?

A little over two years since the last installment hit theaters, Dominic Torretto, and the family are back with Fast X. The big question surrounding the film is whether or not this is the last movie in the franchise. We share everything you need to know about whether or not there will be another Fast and Furious below.

Fast X hits theaters on May 19, 2023. The film follows Torretto and his family, who are targeted by the song of drug kingpin Hernan Reyes who has revenge on his mind. It brings back all the main stars, including Vin Diesel, Ludacris, and Tyrese Gibson, with bringing in new stars in Jason Momoa, Brie Larson, and Alan Ritchson.

Early on in the process, Vin Diesel didn’t even want to make a sequel to the first Fast and Furious. He wasn’t even in 2 Fast 2 Furious and was briefly in the third one, Toyko Drift. However, Diesel came back in full force in the fourth installment, which led to the reuniting of Paul Walker and Diesel as Brian and Dom. After this, it led to The Rock coming on board the franchise in Fast Five, which was the biggest box office success at the time for the franchise.

Will there be another Fast and Furious movie after Fast X?

A few years ago, in several different interviews, Diesel said he wanted to make ten films in the franchise, which would be the end. But, within that, he realized that he wanted to do a big two-part finale sendoff for the fans, so Diesel announced at CinemaCon that the 11th and finale installment of the franchise would come in 2025. Fast 11 will see the return of Louis Letterier in the director’s chair, with Christina Hodson and Oren Uziel writing the script.

If you are a fan like me, it’s kind of bittersweet to know that this will be coming to an end, but I can’t wait to see what Vin has in store for us.
