Citadel episode 3 ending explained: “Infinite Shadows”

How did Mason and Nadia meet?

Ten years ago–two years before the fall of Citadel–the two were assigned to stop the release of an Ebola virus strain that would plunge the world into a global health crisis the likes of which hasn’t been seen since the Dark Ages.

Nadia had been tasked with infiltrating the group intending to release the virus, when they crossed paths, Nadia became his way out of an intense battle to escape once she dropped her cover and helped take down the henchmen surrounding them. Without her Mason would have been captured or would have died.

How did Mason and Abby meet?

Abby says she was in a bad car accident nine years ago. She doesn’t remember it because of a traumatic brain injury, and was going to a memory program at a local hospital. Mason, who was going by the name Kyle at the time, was in the same program.

Who is Brielle?

The woman Anders Silje loves. He thought she was dead, but in order to stop Anders from cutting into his brain stem, Bernard shares that she’s still alive and that Citadel had lied to the Manticore agent. Turns out Abby, Mason’s wife, is Brielle. Bernard showed him proof of her being alive via a photo on his phone of her, Mason, and their daughter Hendrix.
