Cruel Summer returns with an all-new season on Freeform. Monday, June 5 at 9 p.m. ET, audiences will be introduced to another thrilling and twisting story. Last season was a hit for the network, and we expect viewers will be just as enthralled by season 2.

As a reminder, this series follows an anthology format meaning each outing for the show will drop us into a plot that doesn’t connect to the previous season. The freshman run had us on the edge of our seats with a storyline centered in Texas but this time we’ll be headed to the Pacific Northwest to a small town called Chatham. It’s idyllic and abuts the waterfront, the kind of town where a major crime has never seen the light of day…until now.

Cruel Summer season 2, like its predecessor, follows a group of teenagers, in particular the intense friendship between two girls that rises to a high before falling dramatically and dangerously. Set in three separate timelines around 2000, the season is about the friendship between Megan, Isabella, and Luke (Megan’s best friend since childhood), the love triangle that blooms, and the impact of a mystery that changes their lives forever.

Who’s in the cast of the Freeform original? Here’s what we know!

Cruel Summer season 2 cast

Sadie Stanley as Megan Landry, an honor student and computer coder who’s being raised in a blue-collar household. When Megan meets Isabella, she chooses to embrace who she really is and live in the moment. However, the dreams she’d once held come crashing down when a tragedy occurs that has her wondering who she can truly trust.

Eloise Payet as Isabella, a teen who’s described as “alluring and enigmatic.” Unlike Megan, Isabella doesn’t live a regular suburban life. She’s the daughter of foreign diplomats and is spending a year in Chatham as an exchange student. She and Megan meet because she’ll be living with the Landry family during her stay in the States. Isabella shakes up life in the small town, but she’s hiding a secret and the real reason she’s come to live with the Ladrys.

Griffin Gluck as Luke Chambers, Megan’s best friend. Like Isabella, he comes from a well-to-do family, however, his is a staple of the town as they’re one of the prominent families. Luke wants to be able to define himself outside of his father’s expectations and find his place in the world on his own terms.

KaDee Strickland as Debbie, Megan’s mother. She’s a hardworking single mother, and it’s her hope that hosting Isabella during her exchange year will open her daughter’s eyes to the world outside of the small town they live in.

Lisa Yamada as Parker, a popular but cynical musician whose cynicism worsens as the world darkens around her.

Sean Blakemore as Sheriff Myer, a by-the-books cop who is feeling the pressure to solve the first major crime the town of Chatham has every seen.

Paul Adelstein as Steve Chambers, Luke’s powerful father whose influence on Chatham reaches far.

Nile Bullock as Jeff, a filmmaker who has been harboring a crush on Megan for some time. Though he does feel more comfortable observing life from behind his camera, he does want to seize the opportunity to tell her how he feels when the opportunity arises.

Jenna Lamb as Lily, Megan’s little sister who takes a shine to Isabella. She’s impressionable and adoring, but her rebellious streak comes to the forefront in her teen years.

Braeden De La Garza as Brent, Luke’s older brother who is both arrogant and entitled. Brent likes exerting power over his peers including his brother. He’s considered to be the favored son of the Chambers family.
