Cruel Summer returns tonight on Freeform! The hit mystery series enthralled audiences in its freshman run and now it’s primed to do so again with a whole new story. Reminder, this is an anthology series so there’s a brand new cast of characters to fall in love with and be suspicious of over the course of season 2.

This time around we’ll be dropped into three time periods surrounding 2000 as a friendship between two girls, Megan and Isabella, blossoms before tragedy strikes and their lives are up ended. Along for this twisting ride is Luke, Megan’s longtime best friend. A triangle forms but, if you’ve seen the first season, you know this won’t be a typical fare of jealousy and romantic secrets.

A horror is about to hit the small town of Chatham, and these three teens are going to be at its center. Looking to tune into the second season of Cruel Summer? Here’s what we know about its episode count and its release schedule!
