Since The Walking Dead finished its final season, fans have been anticipating the long-awaited spinoffs that were announced in the wake of the original series completing its eleventh season. Now one of the spinoffs, focusing on Maggie and Negan, will be on our screens this summer. What is The Walking Dead: Dead City release schedule?

The series is set to follow Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s Negan and Lauren Cohan’s Maggie as they travel to Manhattan. According to the synopsis, “The crumbling city is filled with the dead and denizens who have made New York City their own world full of anarchy, danger, beauty, and terror.”

Other than our familiar stars, the series will also star Jonathan Higginbotham, Karina Ortiz, Mahina Napoleon, Željkoeljko Ivanek, and Gaius Charles as Perlie Armstrong. In the spinoff, we’ll see Maggie seek Negan’s help when her son Herschel is abducted by a man known as The Croat, who Negan knows.

The series premiered on the streaming network for AMC+ on Thursday, June 15 and will be available to watch on AMC on Sunday, June 18. There will be six episodes total for the first season.

While the new episodes will premiere Thursdays on AMC+, they will also be available on television every Sunday. You can watch the episodes on AMC beginning at 10/9c.

In regards to the other spin offs we’re anxiously waiting for, we do know the spin off focusing on the iconic ship consisting of Rick Grimes and Michonne is set to begin production sometime this year and will premiere in 2024. There is also a spinoff focusing on Norman Reedus’s Daryl Dixon that may make its debut later in 2023.
