Outlander season 7 is here, and the premiere episode delivered all we wanted and were looking forward to! It’s already been an exciting start to the season, and we know there’s so much more to come. We can’t wait to see what this chapter of the story brings.

As many of you know, the 16-episode season has been split into two parts. The first eight will run out every Friday on Starz. Then we’re going to have to take a bit of a break and wait for the second batch of episodes to come out sometime in 2024. The network has not announced an official 2024 premiere date yet.

If you kept the premiere episode going for a few seconds as the credits start rolling, you may have noticed a dedication appear on the screen. It reads “In loving memory of our friend and colleague Brian Thomson.” So who is he and how is Thomson connected to the show?

While the dedication lists Thomson as a friend and colleague, how exactly he’s connected to the time-travel romance series is not very clear. We tried to do some digging to search for the answer, but his name doesn’t show up on any credits under the drama’s IMDb page or in the credits at the end of former episodes.

Thomson most likely worked as a crew member on the production side of things behind the scenes. There’s so many amazing people who work hard behind the camera to bring such a big and amazing show to life for us viewers.
