This isn’t to say that the streaming platform Apple TV+ didn’t kick off with a bang, but the series The Morning Show is what put the streamer on the map. Well, at least that’s my opinion. The drama has two seasons under its belt, but are more on the way? We’ve got your latest batch of The Morning Show season 3 updates.

Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon star in the comedy-drama The Morning Show as co-anchors on a popular morning news program. The series touches on tough topics such as equality, sexual misconduct in the workplace, and even acknowledges the pandemic. Billy Crudup, Nestor Carbonell, Steve Carell, and John Hamm also star.

It’s truly a star studded production with clever writing, one to definitely at to your to-watch list if you are not already a fan. Apple TV+ may not have as much content to offer as streaming giant Netflix, for example, but it does win when it comes to quality. It is more selective about the shows and movies it stands behind, so if you don’t already have an account, you’re missing out!  If you’re already a viewer and wondering when The Morning Show season 3 is coming to Apple TV+ (if it’s coming at all), you’ve come to the right place! Here’s what we know.

Will there be a The Morning Show season 3?

Yes! If you’re worried about the fate of the series, rest easy knowing that season 3 is happening! Apple TV renewed the drama for a third season, which will feature a new showrunner, Charlotte Stoudt.

Is there a The Morning Show season 3 release date yet?

July 27 update: Get excited! The Morning Show season 3 premieres Sept. 13, 2023.

Even though a third season has been confirmed, there is no official release date yet. However, let’s look at the release dates for the first two seasons to have a better idea of when we’ll see new episodes.

The first season of The Morning Show premiere on Nov. 1, 2019, featuring 10 episodes. It wrapped on Dec. 20, 2019. Season 2 didn’t drop until Sept. 17, 2021, skipping the year 2020. Because of the talented and busy cast, it makes sense why the series took almost two year to give us another season. This explains why season 3 did not arrive by fall 2022. But with fall 2023 approaching, we could see new episodes arrive towards the end of the year.

That said, our best guess is that we’ll get The Morning Show season 3 late this year. Collider believes we could see the third season as early as late September 2023. As soon as we learn more, we’ll update this post.

The Morning Show season 3 teaser trailer

Aug. 24 update: An official trailer has officially been released! Check it out below…

The Morning Show season 3 cast

An official cast has not been released, but we can expect to see the main players, including:

  • Jennifer Aniston as Alex Levy
  • Reese Witherspoon as Bradley Jackson
  • Nestor Carbonell as Yanko Flores
  • Billy Crudup as Cory Ellison
  • Mark Duplass as Charlie Black

One actor we may not see (unless it’s in a flashback), is Steve Carell as Mitch. Why? If you haven’t seen it, we’re not spoiling it here!

How many episodes are in The Morning Show season 3?

No news on this just yet, but since the first two seasons feature 10 episodes each, the third season will more than likely also include 10 episodes. I think 10 is the perfect amount. It’s not too long, but also not as short as some eight or six episode seasons are.

How many seasons of The Morning Show are there?

At the time of this writing, there are only two seasons of the comedy-drama available to stream. However, the upcoming third season may not be the last one. According to Parade, Aniston and Witherspoon are in talks for season 4. Fingers crossed this happens! Aniston and Witherspoon are a dynamic duo!

Why is The Morning Show not streaming on Netflix or Max?

The Morning Show is an Apple TV+ production, so it is exclusively streaming on that platform. To watch, you’ll need an Apple TV+ account, which we highly recommend. You won’t only get access to The Morning Show, but other hits, as well, such as Ted Lasso and the current psychological drama The Crowded Room

Keep checking back as we’ll be updating this post with new information as it comes in about Apple TV+’s The Morning Show. In the meantime, be sure to stream the first two seasons or catch up to any episodes you may have missed.
